Align Your Credentials to Field Technical Work
ENTRUST primarily deploys Engineering Technicians on utility and infrastructure projects, not office-based roles. Certifications like NICET, relevant state licensure, or hands-on field experience with electrical or pipeline systems will strengthen your application significantly.
Target Openings by Service Line
ENTRUST operates across distinct practice areas including power delivery, gas distribution, and communications. Filtering your job search by service line rather than title alone surfaces openings where your technical background directly matches the project type and increases your sponsorship viability.
Use Migrate Mate to Identify Active Openings
Sponsorship availability shifts as project pipelines change in consulting firms. Use Migrate Mate to surface current Engineering Technician openings at ENTRUST that are tagged for visa sponsorship, so you're applying when active hiring is actually happening.
Clarify OPT and CPT Eligibility Early
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility before your initial 12 months expire. ENTRUST is enrolled in E-Verify, which is required for STEM OPT authorization, so this pathway is structurally supported for qualifying engineering technician roles.
Understand How TN Status Fits This Role
Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status as engineers or technologists if the Engineering Technician role requires a qualifying degree. Confirm with your hiring contact that the specific job description maps to an eligible TN occupation category before accepting an offer.
Ask About PERM Timing During Offer Negotiation
Consulting firms often tie PERM sponsorship to tenure milestones rather than offering it at hire. Ask directly during the offer stage whether ENTRUST initiates the DOL PERM process after a defined period of employment and what the typical timeline looks like for technician-level roles.

Find Engineering Technician at ENTRUST Solutions Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does ENTRUST Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Technicians?
Yes, ENTRUST Solutions Group sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Technicians. Because H-1B eligibility requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, your job offer needs to specify a degree requirement in a relevant engineering or technical field. Roles with generalized requirements may face additional USCIS scrutiny, so the specific job description matters.
How do I apply for Engineering Technician jobs at ENTRUST Solutions Group?
You can apply directly through ENTRUST's careers portal or find sponsored openings through Migrate Mate, which filters for visa-eligible positions. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific service line, whether power delivery, gas distribution, or communications infrastructure, since hiring managers at consulting firms evaluate technical fit against active project needs, not just general qualifications.
Which visa types does ENTRUST Solutions Group commonly use for Engineering Technician roles?
ENTRUST sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Engineering Technician positions, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employees. F-1 candidates benefit from ENTRUST's E-Verify enrollment, which is required for STEM OPT extensions. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role maps to a qualifying occupation.
What qualifications does ENTRUST Solutions Group expect for Engineering Technician roles?
Most Engineering Technician roles at ENTRUST require a degree or technical certification in an engineering-related discipline, along with field or project experience relevant to the service line. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, the role must have a defined degree requirement. Practical skills in areas like electrical systems, GIS, or pipeline inspection tend to be weighted heavily alongside formal credentials.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for an Engineering Technician at ENTRUST?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B sponsorship through the annual lottery has a fixed April filing window, meaning your start date could be October 1 at the earliest. TN status can often be arranged within weeks. Green Card sponsorship via PERM through the DOL typically takes one to two years before an immigrant petition is filed, and consulting firms often initiate this after an employee has demonstrated tenure.
