Align your credentials to utility engineering
ENTRUST focuses heavily on electric, gas, and water utility clients. Frame your resume around infrastructure projects, field engineering experience, or grid-related work. Credentials like a PE license or EIT designation signal readiness for the roles they staff most.
Target open requisitions by service line
ENTRUST posts Project Engineer roles across distinct practice areas including distribution, transmission, and pipeline. Applying to a requisition that matches your engineering discipline improves your fit score and signals you understand how their consulting model is structured.
Search ENTRUST openings through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Project Engineer roles at ENTRUST Solutions Group by visa type. This saves time by surfacing only sponsorship-eligible positions, so you're not guessing which postings will support H-1B or OPT candidates.
Clarify your OPT or CPT timeline early
If you're on F-1 OPT, ENTRUST will need to file an H-1B petition before your authorization expires. Bring up your exact end date in early conversations with the recruiter so they can assess whether the timeline works before extending an offer.
Understand what TN classification requires for engineers
Canadian and Mexican engineers may qualify for TN status under the engineer category, but TN requires a specific degree in engineering. At the offer stage, confirm with ENTRUST's HR team whether your role and credentials satisfy DOL's TN occupational requirements before relying on that pathway.
Prepare for PERM documentation if targeting permanent residence
ENTRUST sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, which require PERM labor certification through DOL. Gather transcripts, degree certificates, and employment records early. PERM audits can add months to the process, so organized documentation matters before the employer initiates the filing.
