EPAM Systems brings together capabilities that few firms can match: AI and generative AI, cloud engineering, data and analytics, platform modernization, cybersecurity, and customer experience — all built to handle the complexity and compliance demands that define the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
This is a role for a hunter. A relationship builder who also knows how to close. Someone who carries genuine credibility inside pharma and life sciences organizations, knows the players, understands the pressures they're under, and can walk into a room and immediately speak their language. You'll come in with a network, activate it, and grow it — while never losing your appetite for the next logo.
There's no team to manage here. What there is: a world-class services portfolio, strong internal support from some of the best engineering and consulting talent in the industry, and a real greenfield opportunity in a vertical that is in the middle of a once-in-a-generation technology transformation. If that sounds like the kind of platform you've been looking for — and you have the track record to back it up — we'd love to hear from you!
This is a remote role with approximately 25% travel to engage clients and internal stakeholders across the US.
Req# 988813151
Responsibilities
- Hunt and close net new business across pharma, biotech, medtech and life sciences accounts — new logos and expansion within existing strategic relationships
- Leverage your existing network and industry relationships to generate a pipeline from day one while continuously building new ones
- Position EPAM's full services portfolio — including AI and generative AI, cloud, data and analytics, engineering and modernization, cybersecurity and CX — as the answer to each client's most pressing transformation challenges
- Build, execute and continuously refine account plans and pursuit strategies tailored to the dynamics of life sciences enterprise buying cycles
- Engage decision-makers at every level of a client organization, from practitioner to C-suite, building the kind of trust that wins multi-year, multi-discipline engagements
- Orchestrate complex, multi-service RFP and RFI responses by pulling together EPAM's internal technical, delivery and solution experts around a compelling unified narrative
- Collaborate with EPAM's technology alliance partners — including hyperscalers and platform vendors — to identify and accelerate co-sell opportunities within your accounts
- Maintain an accurate, well-qualified pipeline and forecast with discipline — you know what's real, what's at risk and what needs attention
- Stay ahead of the market: track emerging trends in AI adoption, regulatory technology, clinical data platforms and digital R&D and bring that intelligence into every client conversation
- Build your internal network at EPAM quickly — understand the firm's capabilities, case studies and value propositions deeply enough to sell them with conviction
Requirements
- Deep, genuine expertise in the pharma and/or life sciences industry — you understand the business, the buyers, the regulatory environment and the technology pressures shaping the sector in 2026
- An established network of relationships with technology and digital leaders inside life sciences enterprises — CDOs, CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering or equivalent — that you can activate
- A proven track record of hunting and closing enterprise IT services, AI or digital transformation deals — not just managing inherited accounts or responding to inbound
- Experience selling complex, multi-discipline technology engagements — consulting, engineering, cloud, data and/or AI — in a matrixed, solutions-led environment
- The ability to build a compelling transformation vision for enterprise clients and connect it credibly to delivered outcomes — you sell business value not SOWs
- Strong commercial instincts and negotiation skills — you structure deals well, protect margin and know when to push and when to flex
- Demonstrated success orchestrating pursuit teams across technical, delivery and executive stakeholders to win competitive deals
- Experience navigating and leading RFP/RFI responses with discipline — qualifying hard, resourcing appropriately and driving to win
- Comfort operating in a matrixed global organization — you build internal allies as effectively as external ones and know how to get things done without a playbook
- Familiarity with technology trends shaping life sciences: agentic AI, generative AI, clinical data modernization, regulatory-grade AI governance, digital twins and cloud-native R&D platforms
- Bilingual candidates (English/French or English/Spanish) are a plus

Frame Your BA Experience Around Client-Facing Delivery
EPAM staffs Business Systems Analysts on client engagements, not internal projects. When preparing your resume and portfolio, emphasize requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, and delivery outcomes across software development cycles, not just documentation or process mapping.
Target EPAM's Industry Verticals When Applying
EPAM organizes work around verticals like financial services, life sciences, and media. Apply to roles tied to industries where you have domain knowledge, since project teams at EPAM value analysts who reduce client onboarding time from day one.
Confirm Your Visa Type Before Accepting an Offer
EPAM sponsors several visa categories, so clarify early which pathway applies to your situation. H-1B cap timing, OPT remaining days, and TN eligibility all affect your start date and the employer's filing obligations with USCIS.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open BA Roles Quickly
EPAM posts Business Systems Analysis openings across multiple locations and verticals simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for sponsorship-eligible positions at EPAM so you're not sorting through roles that won't support your visa situation.
Understand How PERM Timelines Affect Long-Term Planning
If you're targeting an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card through EPAM, the PERM labor certification process with DOL can run 12 to 18 months before an I-140 is filed. Raise this in offer negotiations so your employer initiates the process without delay.
Highlight Agile and SDLC Credentials in Your Application
EPAM's delivery model is heavily agile. Business Systems Analysts who can demonstrate CSPO, CBAP, or hands-on experience with sprint-based requirements workflows get prioritized over candidates with only waterfall or generic BA backgrounds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does EPAM Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Business Systems Analysiss?
Yes, EPAM Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Business Systems Analysis roles. The company files petitions through the standard USCIS cap process, so timing your offer around the annual lottery window matters. If you're already on H-1B with another employer, EPAM can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start before USCIS issues a new approval.
How do I apply for Business Systems Analysis jobs at EPAM Systems?
You can apply directly through EPAM's careers portal or find sponsorship-eligible openings on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles where visa support is available. Tailor your application to the specific vertical or client domain listed in the posting. EPAM's recruiting process typically includes a screening call, a competency-based interview, and a practical requirements or case exercise.
Which visa types does EPAM Systems commonly use for Business Systems Analysis roles?
EPAM sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for Business Systems Analysis positions, and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying analyst roles. For longer-term permanent residence, EPAM has used EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for experienced analysts.
What qualifications does EPAM Systems expect for Business Systems Analysis positions?
EPAM typically looks for a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field, since H-1B sponsorship requires a specialty occupation tied to a specific degree. Practical experience with agile delivery, requirements documentation, and client-facing project work carries significant weight. Certifications like CBAP or CSPO strengthen an application, particularly for mid-to-senior level roles.
How do I manage the H-1B timeline if I'm on F-1 OPT and targeting EPAM?
If you're on F-1 OPT, the H-1B cap lottery opens in March for an October 1 start date. EPAM would need to register you in the lottery by late March. STEM OPT extensions give you up to 36 months of work authorization, which provides a buffer if you don't get selected in the first lottery cycle and need to reapply the following year.
