Position Overview
Eurasia Group is seeking a Associate Director, CEO Operations to join the Office of the CEO in New York. This role provides primary support to the CEO and reports to the CEO’s Chief of Staff.
This position has two primary areas of focus. First, driving the CEO’s top three priorities—Talent, Revenue, and Data—ensuring strong execution and follow-through across Eurasia Group’s commercial and research platforms, including by keeping EG’s senior advisors fully aligned and engaged. Second, helping run the CEO’s office—supporting the effective day-to-day operations of the office, enabling the CEO and Chief of Staff to operate at full speed. The Associate Director will build strong connections across EG’s senior leadership, making this a high-visibility, cross-functional role at the center of the firm’s leadership.
The ideal candidate is a sharp, collaborative, and results-oriented professional who combines strong business acumen with exceptional organizational judgment, project management capability, and interpersonal skills. This is a primarily in-office position, with flexibility as circumstances allow. Periodic domestic and international travel may be required to support CEO engagements and priorities.
Responsibilities
CEO Priority Areas: Talent, Revenue & Data (Primary Focus)
- Support the CEO and Chief of Staff in driving the three priority areas—coordinating hiring pipelines and leadership development (Talent); supporting commercial strategy and tracking progress against growth targets (Revenue); and structuring initiatives and ensuring organizational alignment behind data strategy and capability-building (Data).
- Prepare the CEO for high-priority engagements by coordinating background research, briefings, and inputs from across the firm’s commercial and research platforms.
- Draft and edit briefing materials, talking points, correspondence, presentations, and meeting summaries in support of the CEO’s priorities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with EG senior leadership across commercial and research functions to ensure alignment with and delivery against CEO-directed objectives.
EG Senior Advisor Engagement
- Support the CEO’s Chief of Staff—who leads the senior advisor relationship—in keeping EG’s senior advisors fully informed and activated in support of the CEO’s Talent, Revenue, and Data priorities.
- Coordinate regular touchpoints and briefings with senior advisors, tracking their contributions, follow-ups, and alignment with firm objectives, in close partnership with the Chief of Staff.
- Identify opportunities to more effectively deploy senior advisor networks and relationships in support of commercial and strategic goals.
Project Management & Executive Operations
- Lead and support cross-functional initiatives by setting workplans, clarifying owners and timelines, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Manage shifting priorities and keep stakeholders aligned as needs change.
- Maintain simple tracking systems for action items, decisions, and follow-ups to support effective executive operations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in international relations, political science, public policy, or a related field preferred.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in research, advisory, government, think tank, consulting, or senior executive support.
- Experience supporting senior leadership in a fast-paced environment with high accountability and time constraints.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Strong grounding in geopolitics and international affairs, with the ability to synthesize complex global developments into practical implications for senior leadership, clients, and commercial strategy.
- Familiarity with Eurasia Group’s research agenda, client base, and advisory model strongly preferred; comfort engaging substantively on geopolitical topics with senior internal and external stakeholders is essential.
Analytical & Communication Skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to move quickly across regions, industries, and topics.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience producing clear, structured materials under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal communication and comfort synthesizing information for senior audiences.
Executive Support, Project Management, & Judgment
- Proven ability to anticipate needs, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver reliably under time pressure.
- Strong project management and coordination skills across stakeholders and teams.
- High discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Interpersonal & Professional Qualities
- Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across levels and functions.
- Comfortable engaging with external stakeholders in support of business development and relationship management.
- Responsive, service-oriented, and credible in representing senior leadership.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools; familiarity with CRM and/or project management platforms is a plus.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $110,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Target Research and Analyst Roles
Eurasia Group's sponsorship activity is concentrated in research-driven positions. Focus your applications on analyst, research, and advisory roles where specialized academic backgrounds are a core requirement and visa sponsorship is more routinely extended.
Highlight Your Subject-Matter Expertise
In a Science and Research environment like Eurasia Group, domain expertise matters more than general skills. Emphasize your regional specialization, quantitative research methods, or policy analysis credentials prominently in your application materials.
Align Your Degree Field With the Role
H-1B sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation. At a research firm, your degree field must directly relate to the job. A political science, economics, or data science degree aligned to the role strengthens your sponsorship case considerably.
Apply Early Given Research Hiring Cycles
Research organizations often hire on academic calendars or project-based cycles. Applying well ahead of H-1B cap season, which opens in April each year, gives Eurasia Group enough runway to prepare and file your petition before the lottery deadline.
Browse Verified Sponsoring Employers Before You Apply
Confirming a company's real sponsorship history before investing time in an application is essential. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by actual sponsorship history and focus your energy on employers like Eurasia Group who genuinely sponsor.

Does Eurasia Group sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Eurasia Group does sponsor H-1B visas. The company has an established track record of supporting international candidates in research and advisory roles that qualify as specialty occupations. If your degree field aligns with the position you are applying for, Eurasia Group is a legitimate H-1B sponsorship option worth pursuing.
What other visa types does Eurasia Group sponsor?
Beyond H-1B, Eurasia Group sponsors Green Card pathways through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories, and supports TN visas for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals. The right category depends on your nationality, education level, and the specific role. Speaking with the company's HR team early in the process helps clarify which pathway applies to you.
Which departments or roles at Eurasia Group are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Eurasia Group tends to be concentrated in research, analysis, and advisory functions where specialized expertise is the primary qualification. Roles requiring deep regional knowledge, quantitative research skills, or subject-matter credentials in areas like geopolitics, economics, or energy policy are the strongest candidates for sponsorship support.
How do I find open visa-sponsored roles at Eurasia Group?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find visa-sponsored positions at companies like Eurasia Group. The platform surfaces roles from employers with verified sponsorship histories, so you can confirm a company's track record before applying rather than discovering late in the process that sponsorship is not available for a particular role.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored at a research firm like Eurasia Group?
The strongest applications clearly connect your academic background to the specific requirements of the role, since H-1B sponsorship depends on the position qualifying as a specialty occupation. Research firms also value published work, regional expertise, and technical fluency. Applying early relative to the H-1B cap season and being transparent about your visa timeline from the first conversation both reduce friction for the hiring team.
