Align Your Credentials to Specialty Occupation Standards
H-1B eligibility for Electrician roles requires demonstrating the position demands at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Gather transcripts, any relevant engineering or electrical technology credentials, and documentation showing your role goes beyond journeyman-level trade work.
Target Facility Solutions Group's Commercial Project Pipelines
Facility Solutions Group staffs large commercial and facilities maintenance contracts, not just residential work. Focus your application on project-based openings tied to commercial clients, where complexity and technical scope better support a specialty occupation argument to USCIS.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Electrician Openings by Sponsorship
Browse Facility Solutions Group's Electrician listings on Migrate Mate to surface roles actively open to visa sponsorship, filtering out positions that won't support your work authorization status before you invest time in applications.
Clarify TN Eligibility Before Your Interview
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, TN status can cover certain engineering-adjacent electrical roles without the H-1B lottery. Confirm with the hiring team that your specific job description maps to a qualifying TN category under USMCA before accepting an offer.
Request LCA Filing Details During the Offer Stage
Once you have a verbal offer, ask HR which DOL wage level they intend to file your Labor Condition Application under. Facility Solutions Group's commercial project roles often span multiple wage levels, and confirming this early prevents delays in your I-129 petition timeline.
Verify OPT STEM Extension Applicability for Your Role
F-1 OPT is viable for Electrician roles at Facility Solutions Group, but STEM OPT extension eligibility depends on whether your degree program qualifies under the DHS STEM designation list. Confirm your program's CIP code with your DSO before relying on the 24-month extension.

Yes, Facility Solutions Group has sponsored H-1B visas for Electrician roles. For H-1B sponsorship to apply, the position must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Electrician roles tied to complex commercial or facilities management projects tend to have stronger specialty occupation arguments than general trade positions.
Which visa types are commonly used for Electrician roles at Facility Solutions Group?
Facility Solutions Group has sponsored H-1B visas for Electrician positions and also accepts candidates on F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT, making it accessible for recent graduates. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose electrical roles map to a qualifying USMCA professional category. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree, and how the specific role is structured.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Electrician roles at Facility Solutions Group?
Facility Solutions Group's Electrician openings typically require hands-on experience with commercial electrical systems, including low-voltage, lighting controls, and facility maintenance work. For visa sponsorship purposes, having a relevant degree in electrical engineering or electrical technology strengthens your application considerably. Journeyman or master electrician licensure is commonly expected, and project-specific experience in commercial construction or facilities services is a practical advantage.
How do I apply for Electrician jobs at Facility Solutions Group?
You can find and apply for Electrician openings at Facility Solutions Group through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can identify roles suited to your work authorization status. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight commercial electrical project experience and include any relevant licensure. Follow up with the HR team to confirm sponsorship availability before advancing through the interview process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Electrician hires at Facility Solutions Group?
For H-1B sponsorship, the process typically starts with the DOL Labor Condition Application, which takes around seven business days to certify, followed by the USCIS I-129 petition. Standard USCIS processing runs three to six months, while premium processing reduces that to 15 business days. F-1 OPT candidates can begin work sooner if their EAD is already approved, making OPT hires operationally faster for Facility Solutions Group's project timelines.
