Align Your Credentials With FSG's Scope
Facility Solutions Group operates across commercial, industrial, and real estate portfolios, so tailor your resume to show hands-on experience with building systems, HVAC, electrical, and preventive maintenance programs. A generalist engineering background won't stand out here.
Target Facilities Engineer Openings Strategically
FSG posts Facilities Engineer roles across multiple regions, and demand is not uniform. Search by location and prioritize markets where construction and real estate activity is highest, since those postings are most likely to move quickly through the offer stage.
Clarify TN Eligibility Before You Apply
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, the TN visa is a faster path than H-1B for engineering roles. Confirm with the hiring team early that the Facilities Engineer position qualifies under the engineer category, since job title framing matters at the port of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Sponsoring Employers
Not every Facilities Engineer listing at a large facilities company will result in a sponsored offer. Use Migrate Mate to identify and track roles at FSG where visa sponsorship has been confirmed, so you focus your applications on openings that can actually move forward.
Prepare Your I-129 Documentation Early
For H-1B sponsorship, FSG's HR or legal team will need detailed documentation of your specialty occupation status. Assemble your degree certificates, transcripts, and any professional engineering credentials before the offer stage so the USCIS petition preparation doesn't stall.
Understand OPT Cap-Gap If You're On F-1
If you're finishing a U.S. engineering program on F-1 OPT, the cap-gap rule protects your work authorization between OPT expiration and an approved H-1B start date. Confirm with USCIS timelines that your OPT end date gives FSG sufficient runway to file before the April 1 H-1B window.

Does Facility Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Facilities Engineers?
Yes, Facility Solutions Group has sponsored H-1B visas for Facilities Engineer roles. Because H-1B sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, you'll strengthen your candidacy by demonstrating a direct connection between your engineering degree and the specific technical responsibilities of the role, such as building systems management or infrastructure project oversight.
How do I apply for Facilities Engineer jobs at Facility Solutions Group?
You can find and apply for Facilities Engineer openings at Facility Solutions Group through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where visa sponsorship has been confirmed. When applying, highlight relevant experience with facility operations, maintenance systems, and any project management or compliance work, since FSG's Facilities Engineer roles often blend technical and operational responsibilities across commercial and real estate environments.
Which visa types are commonly used for Facilities Engineer roles at Facility Solutions Group?
Facility Solutions Group has worked with H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visa types for this role. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent engineering graduates, while the TN visa is a strong option for Canadian and Mexican nationals given its faster processing. H-1B remains the primary long-term sponsorship path for candidates from other countries.
What qualifications does Facility Solutions Group expect for a Facilities Engineer position?
FSG typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline, combined with hands-on experience in facilities or building systems. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs, HVAC systems, and commercial real estate operations is especially relevant. Professional engineering credentials or relevant certifications strengthen your application, particularly for H-1B sponsorship where specialty occupation documentation is required.
How do I navigate the timeline from offer to visa approval for a Facilities Engineer role at FSG?
Timeline depends on your visa type. F-1 OPT can begin immediately upon graduation if your EAD is active. TN can be processed at the border or through USCIS, often within weeks. H-1B requires filing within the April 1 cap-subject window for an October 1 start date, so an offer in hand before March is critical. Confirm sponsorship intent with FSG's HR team as early as possible in the process.
