Align Your Credentials to Commercial Project Scope
Facility Solutions Group focuses on integrated facility services across large commercial and real estate portfolios. Highlight experience with electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or construction settings on your resume, not just academic or residential project work.
Request LCA Confirmation During Offer Negotiations
Before accepting any offer, ask HR to confirm the Labor Condition Application filing timeline with DOL. The LCA must be certified before your H-1B petition is filed, and delays at this stage can push back your start date by weeks.
Use OPT STEM Extension to Build Your Case
If you are on F-1 OPT and your engineering degree qualifies for a STEM extension, use that 24-month window to demonstrate project impact at Facility Solutions Group. Strong performance during OPT substantially improves your H-1B sponsorship conversation with your employer.
Target Open Roles Across Multiple Service Lines
Facility Solutions Group posts Electrical Engineer openings across multiple construction and facilities divisions. Use Migrate Mate to filter active openings by visa type and identify which roles are currently available for sponsored candidates at this company.
Prepare a PE License or EIT Certification Before Interviews
Commercial electrical engineering roles in construction environments often require or strongly prefer candidates with EIT or Professional Engineer credentials. Having your state licensure documentation ready signals readiness for site-facing responsibilities and accelerates the offer process.

Does Facility Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Electrical Engineers?
Yes, Facility Solutions Group sponsors H-1B visas for Electrical Engineer roles. The H-1B requires USCIS to approve an employer petition, and your role must qualify as a specialty occupation, which electrical engineering consistently meets. Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL first, then submits Form I-129 to USCIS. Timing your offer before the April H-1B cap season matters if you are not yet in status.
How do I apply for Electrical Engineer jobs at Facility Solutions Group?
You can browse and apply for Electrical Engineer openings at Facility Solutions Group directly through Migrate Mate, which filters active roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Facility Solutions Group typically posts openings across multiple service divisions, so searching broadly by role title rather than a single location gives you the best view of what is available.
Which visa types does Facility Solutions Group support for Electrical Engineers?
Facility Solutions Group sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Electrical Engineer roles. The TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals with a qualifying engineering degree and offers a streamlined process without a USCIS petition. F-1 OPT and CPT are practical for candidates still in school or recent graduates, while H-1B covers longer-term employment for most international hires.
What qualifications does Facility Solutions Group expect for Electrical Engineer roles?
Facility Solutions Group typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field, since H-1B specialty occupation status requires a direct degree-to-role connection. Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems, knowledge of NEC standards, and familiarity with construction project environments strengthens your application considerably. An EIT certification or active PE license is a meaningful differentiator for site-facing roles.
How do I handle my H-1B timeline when starting at Facility Solutions Group?
H-1B petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, your employer can file a cap-exempt petition if you qualify, or extend your OPT or TN status as a bridge. Confirm with HR whether Facility Solutions Group uses premium processing through USCIS, which reduces the adjudication window to roughly 15 business days and gives both sides more certainty on your start date.
