Align your credentials with facilities standards
Maintenance roles in construction and real estate often require certifications like HVAC, EPA 608, or electrical licensing. Pull together your credential documentation before applying so your qualifications are ready to attach when Facility Solutions Group requests them.
Target open roles by service line
Facility Solutions Group staffs Maintenance across multiple verticals including janitorial, mechanical, and building systems. Filtering your applications by service line rather than applying broadly increases your chances of landing in a team that actively needs your specific trade background.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Not every facilities employer will file for your visa category. Use Migrate Mate to identify Maintenance openings at Facility Solutions Group filtered by the visa type you need, so you're only applying where sponsorship is actually on the table.
Clarify TN eligibility before the offer stage
TN status covers specific occupational categories, and not all Maintenance job titles map cleanly onto the qualifying list. If you're Canadian or Mexican, confirm with the hiring manager that your exact role title and duties align with a DOL-recognized TN category before the offer is extended.
Understand OPT cap-gap timing for facilities hiring
Facilities employers often hire on rolling schedules rather than fixed start dates. If your F-1 OPT expires while an H-1B petition is pending, your cap-gap authorization from USCIS keeps you work-authorized through September 30 of the lottery year, which affects how you negotiate your start date.
Get your I-9 documents ready before onboarding
Facility Solutions Group participates in E-Verify, which means your employment eligibility is confirmed electronically at hire. Have your List A or List B and C documents organized before your first day so the E-Verify process doesn't delay your start.

Find Maintenance at Facility Solutions Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Facility Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenances?
Yes, Facility Solutions Group has sponsored H-1B visas for workers in its Maintenance function. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific role, the job duties meeting USCIS specialty occupation standards, and whether the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a related field. Roles involving building systems engineering or technical facilities management are more likely to qualify than general labor positions.
How do I apply for Maintenance jobs at Facility Solutions Group?
Applications go through Facility Solutions Group's careers portal, where Maintenance openings are listed by location and service line. You can also browse verified Maintenance roles at Facility Solutions Group filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions where the company has a documented sponsorship track record. Tailor your resume to the specific trade or facilities discipline the posting requires.
Which visa types does Facility Solutions Group commonly use for Maintenance roles?
Facility Solutions Group has filed for H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for workers in its Maintenance function. F-1 OPT and CPT are most practical for recent graduates entering facilities roles, while H-1B is the path for longer-term employment. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical occupations within the maintenance and engineering space.
What qualifications does Facility Solutions Group expect for Maintenance positions?
Requirements vary by role, but most Maintenance positions at Facility Solutions Group expect hands-on experience with building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical equipment. Trade certifications like EPA 608 or licensed electrician status strengthen your application significantly. Technical roles tied to visa sponsorship typically require a related bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and documented work experience.
How do I time my application given H-1B filing deadlines?
USCIS opens H-1B registrations in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting a Maintenance role at Facility Solutions Group that requires H-1B sponsorship, you need an offer in place before the registration window opens. Facility Solutions Group operates year-round, so connecting with their recruiting team in late fall or early winter gives you the best lead time to align an offer with the filing calendar.
