Align your credentials to facilities engineering
Facility Solutions Group's engineering work spans mechanical, electrical, and facilities systems in built environments. Tailor your resume to highlight project experience in those disciplines specifically, since generalist engineering backgrounds are less competitive for their open roles.
Confirm your degree meets specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires a direct relationship between your degree field and the offered engineering role. For construction and facilities positions, a degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering gives you the strongest footing when your employer files the H-1B petition.
Start your OPT job search at least four months early
USCIS allows OPT applications up to 90 days before your program end date. Targeting Facility Solutions Group's engineering openings well before your OPT start date gives you time to interview, receive an offer, and still start on time without gaps.
Find open engineering roles through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa sponsorship type, so you can surface Facility Solutions Group's engineering openings that are open to H-1B or OPT candidates without sorting through listings that won't support your work authorization.
Ask about the LCA during your offer stage
Before an H-1B petition can be filed, your employer must get a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL confirming your offered wage meets prevailing wage levels. Asking your recruiter where the company is in that process helps you gauge your actual start timeline.
Prepare for a TN application if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Facility Solutions Group sponsors TN visas, which cover engineers in specific qualifying categories under USMCA. Unlike H-1B, there's no lottery or annual cap, so a TN can be a faster path to starting in a qualifying engineering role.

Does Facility Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Facility Solutions Group sponsors H-1B visas for engineering roles. Because engineering positions typically meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, they're well-suited for H-1B petitions. The process involves your employer filing a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS, so timing your offer and start date around those steps is important.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Facility Solutions Group?
You can search for Facility Solutions Group's open engineering positions directly on their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm the role supports your work authorization before applying. When applying, emphasize hands-on experience in facilities, construction, or building systems since that aligns with the company's core project work.
Which visa types does Facility Solutions Group use for Engineering roles?
Facility Solutions Group has sponsored H-1B visas and supports F-1 OPT and CPT candidates for engineering positions. They also sponsor TN visas, which can be a strong option for Canadian or Mexican engineers since there's no lottery. The right visa type depends on your citizenship, education, and where you are in your current status.
What qualifications does Facility Solutions Group expect for Engineering positions?
Engineering roles at Facility Solutions Group typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering. Because the company operates in facilities management and construction, hands-on project experience in built environments is valued alongside the academic credential. USCIS also requires the degree field to directly relate to the job for H-1B sponsorship to hold up.
How do I time my application if I'm on F-1 OPT and targeting Facility Solutions Group?
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have up to 90 days of unemployment during your OPT period before your status is affected. Targeting Facility Solutions Group's engineering roles early, before your OPT begins if possible, gives you the best chance to complete interviews and onboard without cutting into that window. If your OPT runs out before an H-1B approval, a cap-gap period may extend your authorization while your petition is pending.
