Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Communications Jobs at FleishmanHillard Jobs
Frame Your Portfolio Around U.S. Clients
FleishmanHillard's Communications teams work on integrated campaigns for multinational brands. Before applying, reframe your portfolio to highlight outcomes for English-language or U.S.-facing audiences, which signals immediate readiness to counselors reviewing applications.
Target Practice Groups That Match Your Background
FleishmanHillard organizes Communications work into specialized practice groups like corporate reputation, public affairs, and digital. Applying directly to a group that aligns with your experience sharpens your fit and increases the likelihood a hiring manager champions your sponsorship case internally.
Start Your OPT Job Search Early
F-1 OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization after graduation. Communications hiring cycles at agencies like FleishmanHillard often run four to eight weeks from application to offer, so starting your search at least three months before OPT begins protects your timeline.
Understand the E-3 Filing Timeline Before Negotiating
The E-3 requires a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL before your employer can finalize sponsorship. Build roughly two to three weeks of LCA processing into your start date conversation so HR isn't caught off guard by the requirement.
Search Verified Sponsoring Employers on Migrate Mate
Confirming a firm's visa history before applying saves wasted effort. Use Migrate Mate to filter Communications roles at FleishmanHillard and see which visa types the firm has actually filed for in this function, so you apply with confidence rather than assumption.
Prepare References Who Can Speak to Communications Judgment
Senior-level Communications hires at consultancies are assessed heavily on strategic counsel, not just execution. Brief your references to speak specifically to situations where your advice shaped a client's communications approach, not just campaign outputs or media placements.

Find Communications at FleishmanHillard JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does FleishmanHillard sponsor H-1B visas for Communications roles?
FleishmanHillard's documented visa sponsorship activity for Communications roles includes the E-3 and F-1 OPT categories rather than the H-1B. If you're an Australian national, the E-3 is the most direct path since it requires no lottery. H-1B sponsorship at professional services firms is less common for this function, and you should confirm directly with the recruiter during early conversations.
Which visa types are commonly used for Communications jobs at FleishmanHillard?
The E-3 visa is the primary sponsored category for Communications roles at FleishmanHillard, making it a strong option for Australian citizens. F-1 OPT is also a viable entry point for recent graduates, giving you authorized work time to transition into longer-term sponsorship. Confirming which visa types apply to your specific role and nationality with HR before accepting an offer is the right move.
What qualifications and experience does FleishmanHillard look for in Communications candidates?
FleishmanHillard typically expects a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field for entry to mid-level roles. At the senior level, demonstrated experience counseling clients on reputation, crisis, or corporate narrative is weighted heavily. Agency experience is an advantage, and familiarity with integrated campaign strategy across earned, owned, and paid channels strengthens your application considerably.
How do I apply for Communications jobs at FleishmanHillard?
You can browse and apply for open Communications positions at FleishmanHillard through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where the firm has a history of visa sponsorship for this function. Applying through a channel that surfaces sponsorship-verified roles reduces the risk of advancing through a full hiring process only to learn sponsorship isn't available for your specific position or visa category.
How do I manage my visa timeline when pursuing a Communications role at FleishmanHillard?
The critical step is aligning your visa filing timeline with FleishmanHillard's onboarding calendar. For the E-3, the employer must obtain a certified LCA from DOL before you can attend your consular interview, which adds two to four weeks to the process. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date early and flag it to HR so the LCA filing doesn't fall behind your authorization window.
