The role covers the functional scope of a production BMS—state estimation (SoC, SoH, SoP, SoE), contactor controls, cell balancing, thermal management, isolation monitoring, diagnostics, and functional safety—across multiple chemistries and applications. This role features MATLAB/Simulink and model-based design development approach to deliver production software that improves battery performance, safety, and life, and partners with systems, software, validation, and vehicle integration teams to bring it to production.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate BMS state estimation algorithms using Kalman filtering, adaptive observers, and model-based methods.
- Develop BMS functional control features related to contactor and pre-charge control sequencing, cell balancing, thermal management, charge/discharge limit arbitration, wake/sleep behavior, and multi-pack control features.
- Develop diagnostics and fault-handling strategies covering cell, sensor, isolation, contactor, communication, and thermal faults, including detection, reaction, and recovery.
- Support functional safety development per ISO 26262, including safety goals, Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA) inputs, safety mechanisms, and Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) rated software.
- Develop high-voltage isolation monitoring, interlock handling, and high-voltage (HV) safety logic.
- Develop equivalent-circuit and physics-based battery models for real-time embedded execution and offline simulation.
- Design controls algorithms to be scalable across chemistries, cell formats, and pack architectures.
- Define software and controls requirements from customer, vehicle, and system-level inputs.
- Perform algorithm and feature validation through MIL, SIL, HIL, bench, and vehicle testing.

- Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and model-based design.
- Experience developing BMS functional controls such as contactor/pre-charge control, cell balancing, thermal management, and current/power limit arbitration.
- Experience developing state estimation algorithms using Kalman filtering or observer-based methods.
- Experience with BMS diagnostics, fault detection and reaction, and high-voltage isolation monitoring.
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety as applied to high-voltage battery systems.
- Experience with embedded software integration, auto-code generation, and production release processes.
- Experience with HIL/SIL validation and Controller Area Network (CAN) tools including CANalyzer, CANoe, Vehicle Spy, or equivalent.

Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation standards
Global Connect Technologies sponsors H-1B visas for roles requiring specialized expertise. Focus your application on positions in IT consulting, systems integration, or technical advisory where a relevant bachelor's degree or higher is a clear job requirement.
Use CPT and OPT as your foot in the door
The company sponsors both F-1 CPT and OPT, making it accessible to international students mid-program. A successful internship or OPT stint can position you well for a full-time H-1B sponsorship conversation before your work authorization expires.
Understand the consulting hiring cycle
Professional services firms like Global Connect Technologies often hire in cohorts tied to project pipelines. Apply early in the calendar year to align with H-1B cap season, giving the company time to file your petition before the April 1 submission window.
Tailor your resume to client-facing technical skills
Consulting sponsors typically prioritize candidates who can contribute to billable work immediately. Highlight project delivery experience, domain-specific certifications, and client engagement skills that signal you're ready to add value from day one.
Ask about sponsorship intent during the interview process
Global Connect Technologies has an established sponsorship track record, so asking directly about visa support is reasonable. Confirm whether the specific role and team have sponsored before, sponsorship can vary across practice areas and engagement types.
Filter for verified sponsors before you apply
Not every consulting firm that claims to sponsor actually does so consistently. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your energy on companies like Global Connect Technologies with a demonstrated record.
Frequently Asked Questions

Global Connect Technologies sponsors H-1B visas for full-time professional roles, along with F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students and recent graduates. TN visas are also supported, making the company an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Green Card sponsorship does not appear to be part of their current pattern, so candidates seeking permanent residence pathways should clarify this directly with the employer.
What types of roles does Global Connect Technologies typically sponsor?
Sponsorship at Global Connect Technologies tends to concentrate in technically specialized roles within consulting and professional services, such as IT consultants, software engineers, business analysts, and systems integration specialists. Roles requiring domain-specific expertise and a relevant degree in a field like computer science, engineering, or information systems are the strongest candidates for H-1B sponsorship at this company.
How do I time my application to Global Connect Technologies around the H-1B cap?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 each year for an October 1 start date, so the hiring process typically needs to begin by late January or February at the latest.
