INTRODUCTION
Want to help us help others? We're hiring!
GoFundMe is the world's most powerful community for good, dedicated to helping people help each other. By uniting individuals and nonprofits in one place, GoFundMe makes it easy and safe for people to ask for help and support causes—for themselves and each other. Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.
GoFundMe Pro helps nonprofit organizations fundraise more effectively across donation experiences, peer-to-peer fundraising, and events. We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to own high impact product areas across the supporter and nonprofit admin experience.
In this role, you will shape the future of how nonprofits run fundraising events on GoFundMe Pro, from ticketing and registration workflows, attendee and sponsorship management, onsite payments and check-in tools, auctions, and more. You will help build the next generation of these experiences directly into our core platform, making GoFundMe Pro the trusted tool organizations use to power their most important fundraising moments. This is a highly cross-functional role with the opportunity to influence both near-term delivery and long-term product direction.
LOCATION
Candidates considered for this role will be located in the San Francisco, Bay Area. There will be an in-office requirement of 3x a week.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the end-to-end ticketing and fundraising events experience, driving improvements in event performance, revenue, and supporter engagement
- Build intuitive, high-quality experiences grounded in customer empathy and the real-world operational demands of running events
- Operate with end-to-end accountability — from problem definition through delivery, optimization, and scale — while leveraging the system and collaborating with others
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, go-to-market, and data science partners to execute effectively
- Act as the voice of the customer, deeply understanding the needs, motivations, and pain points of nonprofit teams running high-stakes events
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product and GTM decisions, define success metrics, and track outcomes
- Champion your product internally — building clarity, excitement, and alignment across teams while influencing without authority
- Drive strong execution by transforming ambiguity into disciplined execution — defining scope, sequencing work, mitigating risks, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring teams deliver against commitments
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bring 6+ years of product management experience, including leading growth initiatives for self-serve SaaS products
- Are skilled in Discovery that helps identify the right problems to solve and clearly articulate what not to build and why
- Proven track record of building, launching, and scaling successful products that drive customer and business outcomes
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills—comfortable using both data and judgment to drive outcomes
- Are highly analytical and fluent in experimentation
- Operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Excel at aligning cross-functional teams and leading complex initiatives across product, engineering, and GTM teams
- Are AI Powered and actively use AI tools to accelerate work across the product development lifecycle — from discovery and synthesis to PRDs, experimentation, and iteration
- Leverage tools like Cursor and other AI-assisted workflows to improve speed, clarity, and decision quality in collaboration with Engineering and Design
- Are customer obsessed and growth minded
- Humility, curiosity, and a bias toward learning
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in areas such as event technology, registration, ticketing, onsite operations, commerce, payments, or fundraising software
- Experience with enterprise or mid-market software serving sophisticated organizational customers
- Experience building products with interconnected admin, checkout, payments, and reporting workflows
- Familiarity with live operational environments where reliability, speed, and trust matter deeply

This role will help define how GoFundMe Pro better supports those moments, from how nonprofits configure and sell registrations, to how they manage attendees, collect revenue onsite, run auctions, and measure event performance.

Target roles in engineering and data science
GoFundMe's sponsorship activity skews toward technical functions. If your background is in software engineering, data science, or product, you're applying in the areas most likely to come with visa support, including H-1B and Green Card pathways.
Understand the mission before your interview
GoFundMe operates at the intersection of technology and social impact. Candidates who demonstrate genuine alignment with the platform's mission, not just technical skills, tend to stand out in a company culture built around purpose-driven work.
Know which visa types they support
GoFundMe has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and Green Cards. If you're on OPT or CPT, flag your work authorization timeline early so hiring teams can plan accordingly and loop in their immigration team.
Apply when your OPT has runway
If you're on F-1 OPT, earlier applications give GoFundMe's recruiting and legal teams more time to assess H-1B sponsorship feasibility. Applying with six or more months of OPT remaining puts you in a much stronger position.
Filter for verified sponsors before you apply
Not every job posting makes sponsorship status clear. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and confirm GoFundMe roles are open to international candidates before investing time in an application.
Research their Science & Research industry angle
GoFundMe's classification in Science & Research reflects its investment in data-driven product work and applied research. Roles in analytics, machine learning, and research engineering are strong targets for candidates needing visa sponsorship.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does GoFundMe sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, GoFundMe sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a track record of supporting H-1B petitions for technical roles, particularly in engineering and data-focused functions. If you're targeting a role that requires specialized expertise, it's worth confirming sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter early in the process.
Which visa types does GoFundMe sponsor?
GoFundMe has sponsored H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3. The range of visa types suggests a genuine infrastructure for supporting international hires at different stages of their immigration journey, from students to long-term permanent residents.
Which departments or roles at GoFundMe are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Technical roles in software engineering, data science, machine learning, and product analytics are the most common targets for sponsorship at GoFundMe. Research and applied science functions also align with the company's Science & Research industry profile. Non-technical roles like marketing or operations are less likely to come with visa support.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at GoFundMe?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find GoFundMe roles that include verified sponsorship history. You can filter by company and visa type to see which positions have a real track record of supporting international candidates, rather than relying on job descriptions that may not mention sponsorship explicitly.
How do I approach the GoFundMe application process as an international candidate?
Be upfront about your visa status and timeline during initial recruiter conversations, GoFundMe has experience working with international candidates and will need to assess sponsorship feasibility early. Come prepared to discuss your work authorization situation clearly, and emphasize your technical skills alongside alignment with the company's social impact mission.
