Align your resume with EB-3 requirements
Abercrombie & Fitch's Green Card filings lean toward EB-3 for skilled professional roles in merchandising and corporate functions. Structure your resume to emphasize specialized experience tied to a specific job classification, because PERM labor certification requires an exact match between your credentials and the role's minimum requirements.
Distinguish EB-2 from EB-3 pathways early
EB-2 requires a role demanding an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers with a bachelor's degree. At Abercrombie & Fitch, senior technology and analytics roles may qualify for EB-2, but most corporate positions file under EB-3. Clarify which category applies before you accept an offer.
Target corporate headquarters roles directly
Green Card sponsorship at Abercrombie & Fitch is concentrated in its Columbus, Ohio, headquarters across functions like IT, finance, and global merchandising. Store-level and regional field roles rarely receive sponsorship. Direct your application toward corporate postings and explicitly confirm sponsorship eligibility during the recruiter screen.
Use Migrate Mate to verify sponsorship history
Before investing time in Abercrombie & Fitch's interview process, confirm their Green Card filing patterns by function and job title. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data so you can see which roles and departments have active sponsorship history, letting you prioritize applications with real sponsorship potential.
Prepare for the PERM recruitment documentation phase
PERM requires Abercrombie & Fitch to run a documented recruitment process proving no qualified U.S. workers are available for your role. Your employer initiates this, but you should understand the timeline: DOL typically adjudicates PERM applications within several months to over a year, and delays reset the process.
Benchmark your salary against DOL prevailing wage data
PERM certification requires your offered salary to meet DOL prevailing wage levels for your job classification and work location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the prevailing wage for your specific role in Columbus or wherever your position is based, and confirm your offer meets or exceeds that threshold before signing.
Abercrombie & Fitch Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Abercrombie & Fitch sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Abercrombie & Fitch sponsors Green Cards for select corporate and specialized roles, primarily through EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. Sponsorship is not available for all positions and is concentrated in the company's Columbus, Ohio, headquarters across functions such as technology, finance, and global merchandising. Confirm sponsorship eligibility directly with the recruiter before advancing through the interview process.
Which roles at Abercrombie & Fitch typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Abercrombie & Fitch is most common in corporate functions requiring specialized skills, including IT and software engineering, data analytics, finance, and merchandising. Store management, retail associate, and field-based roles are rarely sponsored. Roles that previously supported H-1B visa filings are the strongest indicator that Green Card sponsorship may also be available.
How do I start the Green Card application process at Abercrombie & Fitch?
The process begins after you receive a full-time job offer. Abercrombie & Fitch's HR or immigration counsel initiates PERM labor certification with the DOL on your behalf. You'll need to provide educational credentials and work history documentation. USCIS processes the immigrant petition after PERM is certified, so the employer drives most of the early filing steps.
How long does the Green Card process typically take at Abercrombie & Fitch?
The timeline depends on your preference category and country of birth. PERM labor certification alone can take several months to over a year. After PERM approval, USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition, and your priority date must be current before you can file for adjustment of status. For applicants born in high-demand countries like India or China, priority date backlogs can extend the overall timeline significantly.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Abercrombie & Fitch that are open to sponsorship?
Migrate Mate surfaces employer-level sponsorship history so you can identify which Abercrombie & Fitch roles and departments have filed for Green Cards in the past. Cross-reference those findings with current job postings on the company's careers page, and filter for corporate headquarters positions in Columbus. Confirming sponsorship availability before applying saves time and avoids late-stage surprises.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Abercrombie & Fitch?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
