Job Roles at First Horizon Bank
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in First Horizon Bank Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target specialized roles over generalist positions
First Horizon Bank is most likely to sponsor Green Cards for roles requiring deep expertise in areas like risk management, financial analysis, or technology infrastructure. Generalist positions are harder to get sponsored. Focus your applications on specialized functions where your skills are harder to replace.
Raise sponsorship early in the hiring process
Banking employers like First Horizon move methodically through compliance requirements. Bringing up Green Card sponsorship before an offer is made helps both sides avoid wasted time and signals you understand the process, not just the job.
Understand the PERM labor certification timeline
Green Card sponsorship through employment-based categories requires PERM labor certification, which can take well over a year before USCIS even receives your petition. Ask First Horizon's HR team where they are in this process for your role.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Green Card sponsors
Not every banking employer with open roles actually sponsors Green Cards. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on First Horizon and similar institutions with a demonstrated track record.
Leverage your H-1B status as a bridge
If you're already working in the U.S. on an H-1B, First Horizon can maintain your status while the Green Card process runs in parallel. Starting your Green Card case early in your H-1B tenure gives you the most flexibility and runway.
Build internal relationships in HR and legal
At mid-sized banks like First Horizon, Green Card decisions often involve HR, legal, and department heads together. Building trust with your hiring manager and demonstrating long-term commitment makes the internal case for sponsorship much easier to make.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does First Horizon Bank sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, First Horizon Bank sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. Sponsorship is selective and typically extended to professionals in specialized roles across banking operations, technology, and financial services where the company has a clear long-term staffing need. It's not offered to every hire, so confirming sponsorship intent early in the process is important.
Which roles and departments at First Horizon Bank are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at First Horizon Bank tends to concentrate in roles requiring specialized qualifications, including technology, risk management, compliance, and financial analysis. These are areas where banking institutions invest in long-term retention. Generalist or entry-level positions are less commonly sponsored because the PERM process requires demonstrating that no equally qualified U.S. worker is available.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at First Horizon Bank?
The process typically begins with PERM labor certification filed by First Horizon's legal or HR team, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Once your priority date becomes current, you file for adjustment of status or consular processing. The bank's immigration counsel manages most of these steps, but staying informed about your case status is your responsibility.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by First Horizon Bank?
The timeline depends heavily on your visa category and country of birth. PERM labor certification alone can take one to two years in some cases. For applicants born in India or China, employment-based backlogs can extend the total process by many additional years. Applicants from countries without significant backlogs may see a much shorter overall timeline once PERM is certified.
How do I find Green Card jobs at First Horizon Bank?
Start by identifying open roles that match your specialized background in banking or financial services. Migrate Mate lists verified Green Card sponsors, making it easier to confirm First Horizon's sponsorship history before applying. When you reach the interview stage, ask directly about the company's Green Card sponsorship policy for that specific role rather than assuming it applies universally.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at First Horizon Bank?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
