Target roles aligned with PERM-eligible occupations
Rocket Mortgage's Green Card filings cluster around software engineering, data, and financial technology roles. Before applying, confirm your target role has a specific degree requirement listed in the job posting, since PERM labor certification requires the employer to define minimum qualifications that your credentials exactly meet.
Understand which EB category fits your background
Rocket Mortgage sponsors under both EB-2 and EB-3, so your degree level and years of experience determine which pathway your employer files. EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability; EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree. Clarify this with your recruiting contact before accepting an offer.
Request Green Card intent conversations before signing
At Rocket Mortgage, the decision to sponsor a Green Card is made at the hiring manager and HR level, not company-wide policy. Raise your Green Card timeline expectations directly during the offer stage, since waiting until after your first H-1B renewal can delay PERM filing by a year or more.
Verify your prevailing wage tier using OFLC Wage Search
PERM requires DOL to certify that Rocket Mortgage is paying at or above the prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check the wage level for your job title in Detroit or wherever your work location is documented, so you can anticipate whether your offer qualifies.
Align your occupation profile with O*NET before PERM begins
PERM job descriptions must match the duties and requirements recognized for the occupation. Cross-check your role's core duties against the O*NET profile for your job title in financial services or technology. Mismatches between posted duties and your actual work can trigger a PERM audit from DOL.
Use Migrate Mate to find Rocket Mortgage Green Card openings
Identifying which Rocket Mortgage roles are actively open to Green Card sponsorship takes more than browsing the careers page. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsorship history by employer and role type, so you can prioritize applications to teams at Rocket Mortgage with a documented track record of filing Green Cards.
Rocket Mortgage, LLC Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Rocket Mortgage, LLC sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Rocket Mortgage, LLC sponsors Green Card visas, primarily for roles in software engineering, data, and financial technology. The company files under both EB-2 and EB-3 categories depending on the role's degree requirements and the candidate's qualifications. Sponsorship is initiated by the hiring team and typically follows a period of H-1B visa employment at the company.
Which departments at Rocket Mortgage, LLC typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Rocket Mortgage tends to concentrate in technology and data-focused teams, including software engineering, data science, machine learning, and product development. Financial analysis and risk roles within the banking and mortgage operations side also see sponsorship activity. Roles in sales, marketing, or operations are less commonly sponsored for Green Card.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Rocket Mortgage, LLC?
The process typically begins with PERM labor certification filed by Rocket Mortgage with DOL, which can take six months to over a year depending on audit risk. After PERM approval, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Your priority date determines when you can file for adjustment of status. Your employer's immigration counsel manages the filings, but you should track your priority date independently using the USCIS Visa Bulletin.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take at Rocket Mortgage, LLC?
The PERM stage alone typically runs six to twelve months, and an I-140 petition adds several more months under standard USCIS processing. For candidates born in countries with high EB demand, the priority date wait can extend the total timeline significantly beyond the petition phase. Starting the conversation with Rocket Mortgage's HR team early in your H-1B tenure gives you the most runway.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Rocket Mortgage, LLC?
Rocket Mortgage's careers page lists open roles, but it doesn't indicate which positions include Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate lets you filter for Rocket Mortgage roles with verified sponsorship history, so you can target applications to teams that have actually filed Green Cards rather than guessing from the job description alone.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Rocket Mortgage, LLC?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
