Target technical and engineering roles
Tarkett's Green Card sponsorship in the Chemicals and Materials industry tends to concentrate in technical, engineering, and product development functions. Focusing your search on these departments improves your odds of landing a role with a clear sponsorship pathway.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 distinction
Tarkett sponsors through both EB-2 and EB-3 categories. EB-2 typically requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers with a bachelor's degree. Knowing which category fits your background helps you frame your application accurately.
Raise Green Card early in the offer stage
Bring up Green Card sponsorship during offer negotiations, not after you've accepted. Tarkett's HR and legal teams need lead time to initiate PERM labor certification, and establishing expectations upfront avoids delays once you're onboarded.
Demonstrate long-term value in specialized areas
Tarkett is more likely to invest in Green Card sponsorship for candidates with niche expertise in materials science, flooring chemistry, or manufacturing process optimization. Positioning yourself as a hard-to-replace specialist strengthens your case for employer-sponsored permanent residency.
Use verified sponsorship data when searching
Not every Tarkett job posting will mention Green Card sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you prioritize roles at companies with an actual track record of Green Card filings.
Prepare for the PERM labor certification timeline
Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-stage process that takes well over a year. Starting your job search with employers like Tarkett who have sponsored previously means you're more likely to find a team already familiar with the process and its timelines.
Tarkett Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tarkett sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Tarkett does sponsor Green Card visas. The company files through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based preference categories, primarily for roles in technical, engineering, and specialized manufacturing functions within its Chemicals and Materials operations. Sponsorship is selective and typically offered to candidates filling positions where U.S. talent is difficult to source.
Which roles at Tarkett are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Tarkett is most commonly associated with technical and engineering positions, including roles in materials science, product development, manufacturing process engineering, and quality assurance. Corporate functions requiring specialized credentials may also qualify. Roles that are harder to fill domestically tend to be stronger candidates for PERM labor certification.
How does the Green Card application process work at Tarkett?
Tarkett initiates the process by filing a PERM labor certification with the Department of Labor, which requires demonstrating that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. Once approved, Tarkett files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. After approval and visa availability, you file for adjustment of status or consular processing. The entire process typically spans several years.
How long does it take to get a Green Card through Tarkett?
The timeline depends on your country of birth and the visa category Tarkett files under. For EB-3 applicants born in high-demand countries, waits can extend many years due to per-country backlogs. EB-2 filings may move faster depending on your priority date. PERM certification alone can take a year or more before the I-140 stage even begins.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Tarkett on Migrate Mate?
Migrate Mate indexes roles from verified Green Card sponsors, including Tarkett, so you can filter job listings by sponsorship type and company. This removes the guesswork of identifying which postings come with a genuine path to permanent residency. Search for Tarkett directly on Migrate Mate to see current openings with confirmed sponsorship history.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Tarkett?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
