Align your degree to blockchain finance roles
Ripple Labs' H-1B filings concentrate in software engineering and fintech product roles, where specialty occupation requires a directly related degree. A computer science or financial engineering background strengthens your petition far more than general business credentials when USCIS reviews your case.
Research Ripple's LCA wage tiers before negotiating
Before your offer call, run your target job title through the OFLC Wage Search to see the prevailing wage for your location and experience level. Ripple's offers must meet DOL wage requirements, so knowing the floor prevents you from negotiating below what the LCA already requires.
Target fintech and payments engineering job postings
Ripple hires heavily for roles tied to its RippleNet and CBDC infrastructure work. Filtering your search to distributed ledger, payments protocol, and backend engineering positions gives you the best odds of landing a role where H-1B sponsorship is already built into the hiring pipeline.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment during your offer stage
Ask your Ripple recruiter to confirm the specific legal entity extending your offer is E-Verify enrolled before signing. Ripple operates through multiple subsidiaries, and H-1B sponsorship must come from the enrolled entity on your I-9, not a parent or affiliate company.
Use Migrate Mate to find Ripple's verified sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces Ripple Labs' LCA filing history by role and location, so you can see which job titles have active sponsorship before you apply. That data helps you prioritize the right teams and prepare your application around roles with a real sponsorship track record.
File under cap-exempt timing if you hold prior H-1B status
If you've been counted against the H-1B cap at any prior employer, Ripple can file your transfer petition at any time of year outside the April lottery window. Clarify your cap status with Ripple's immigration counsel early so they don't wait unnecessarily for the next registration cycle.
Ripple Labs, Inc. H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ripple Labs, Inc. sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Ripple Labs sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles in its engineering, fintech product, and financial infrastructure teams. The company has an established immigration program and works with outside immigration counsel to manage petitions. Roles in software development, distributed systems, and payments technology are the most consistent areas of H-1B sponsorship activity.
Which roles and departments at Ripple Labs typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Ripple Labs concentrates in software engineering, backend infrastructure, and roles tied to its blockchain payments and CBDC product lines. Positions requiring specialized skills in distributed ledger technology, financial protocol development, and data engineering are the strongest candidates, as they most clearly satisfy USCIS's specialty occupation requirement linking degree to job duties.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Ripple Labs?
Once Ripple extends an offer, its immigration team or outside counsel files a Labor Condition Application with DOL and, after certification, submits Form I-129 to USCIS. Your role is to provide documents verifying your degree, employment history, and identity. Ripple covers employer-side filing costs as required by law. Timeline from offer to approval depends on whether premium processing is used.
How long does the H-1B process take at Ripple Labs?
Standard USCIS processing for an H-1B petition currently runs several months from filing. Ripple can elect premium processing, which guarantees a decision within 15 business days, for time-sensitive hires. If you're transferring from another H-1B employer, you can start work at Ripple as soon as USCIS receives the petition under portability rules, without waiting for approval.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Ripple Labs as an international applicant?
Search Ripple Labs' careers page directly and filter for engineering and fintech product roles. Migrate Mate lists Ripple's verified LCA filings by job title and location, which shows you which roles have active sponsorship history before you apply. Targeting positions where Ripple has filed LCAs before significantly improves your chances of a sponsorship conversation with the recruiter.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Ripple Labs, Inc.?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
