Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers (contractors, builders, developers, etc.)
- Identify new business opportunities and grow assigned territory
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate lumber and building materials solutions
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations and quotes
- Coordinate with inside sales and support staff to ensure excellent service and timely deliveries
- Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and competitor activity
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity using CRM tools
Qualifications
- Experience in sales or construction preferred
- Understanding of the construction industry and related products
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to travel within assigned territory (mileage reimbursement available), some overnight travel may be required for training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
- Strong math and computer skills
