Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the IT team. This position is located in our New York, NY office and will require occasional presence in our New Jersey office. The position is currently operating on a hybrid basis of on-site and remote working.
Job Overview:
The Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with the VP of IT to design, implement, and support infrastructure across on-premises Windows Servers and Google Workspace. The organization is transitioning from on-premises to cloud-based management. This role includes oversight of endpoint management using Jamf and Intune and is responsible for ensuring systems and processes operate with strong performance, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities:
- On-Premises Equipment Management: Oversee the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises infrastructure systems leveraging Dell hardware, Windows OS, VMware, Active Directory, and wired and wireless Aruba switching. Ensure that these systems are operating at peak performance, securely and reliably.
- Cloud Services Management: Administer and manage cloud services, such as Google Workspace, Jamf, Intune, Arcserve backup, Meraki, Aruba Central, Zendesk ticketing system, etc., including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Implement best practices to optimize the performance and security of cloud services.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor the performance and availability of systems and services, proactively identify and resolve any issues or incidents, and provide timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all infrastructure systems and services are compliant with relevant security policies, standards, and regulations. Implement security measures to protect data and systems from potential threats.
- Infrastructure Design and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system architecture, configuration, and operational procedures.
