Target engineering and technical roles first
HEICO's sponsorship activity centers on specialized technical and engineering functions tied to aviation components. Focus your applications on roles where your degree directly aligns with the position, as specialty occupation standards matter here.
Understand HEICO's F-1 OPT pathway
HEICO sponsors F-1 OPT, which gives international students a practical entry point. If you're on OPT, apply early so there's runway for HEICO to evaluate you ahead of any H-1B cap deadlines your situation may involve.
Lean into your aerospace or aviation background
HEICO operates across aviation component repair and manufacturing. Candidates whose degrees and experience align with FAA-regulated aerospace work are better positioned to receive sponsorship consideration than those with general engineering backgrounds.
Mention visa status clearly in your application
HEICO sponsors selectively, so being upfront about your visa needs helps the right hiring managers self-identify. Avoid burying your status late in the process, which can cause delays or mismatched expectations with the recruiter.
Filter for verified sponsorship history before applying
Not every HEICO role will lead to sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and target open positions at companies like HEICO that have an active track record.
Prepare for a thorough technical interview process
HEICO's engineering culture means interviews often go deep on domain knowledge. International applicants should prepare for technical assessments alongside standard interviews, since demonstrating clear role fit strengthens the case for sponsorship approval.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does HEICO sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, HEICO sponsors H-1B visas. Sponsorship is concentrated in technical and engineering roles where the position meets specialty occupation requirements. The company's focus on FAA-certified aerospace components means most sponsored roles sit within engineering, quality assurance, or technical operations. Applicants should confirm sponsorship availability directly with the recruiter for each specific role.
Which visa types does HEICO sponsor?
HEICO sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. This range means both students completing U.S. degrees and professionals already in the workforce have pathways to work at HEICO. The TN visa option is particularly relevant for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles.
Which departments or roles at HEICO are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at HEICO tends to follow the company's core business in aerospace components, repair, and manufacturing. Engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and aerospace engineering, are the most common targets. Quality control, avionics, and technical program management roles also fit the profile of positions HEICO has historically sponsored.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at HEICO?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to browse open roles at HEICO and other verified sponsoring employers. You can filter by visa type and company to see positions where sponsorship is confirmed from real filing data. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a role won't support your visa needs.
How do I approach the application timeline at HEICO given H-1B cap deadlines?
If you need H-1B sponsorship and are subject to the annual cap, timing is critical. USCIS registration typically opens in March for an October 1 start date, meaning HEICO would need to commit to sponsoring you well in advance. Starting conversations with HEICO recruiters in the final quarter of the prior year gives both sides enough runway to align before the registration window opens.
