Align your portfolio to Hilton brand standards
Hilton evaluates Project Directors against its brand-specific design and construction guidelines. Document projects where you managed compliance with a hospitality brand's standards, not just general construction milestones, to stand out in screening.
Target roles tied to pipeline hotel openings
Hilton's project leadership hiring tracks its development pipeline. Search for Project Director postings in markets where Hilton has announced new builds or renovations, since those roles are more likely to be actively filled and sponsorship-approved.
Prepare a specialty occupation case early
H-1B eligibility for Project Directors hinges on demonstrating that the role requires a specific bachelor's degree, not just general management experience. Gather documentation showing your degree field directly maps to the technical scope Hilton defines in the job description.
Clarify H-2B versus H-1B before applying
Hilton sponsors both H-1B and H-2B visas depending on the role's scope and duration. Confirm with the recruiter which category applies to the Project Director position, since H-2B is temporary and seasonal, which affects your long-term planning.
Track open Project Director roles using Migrate Mate
Hilton posts Project Director openings across multiple regions on a rolling basis. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Hilton roles by visa type and location so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring process.
Request a USCIS premium processing commitment in writing
Project Director start dates are often tied to hotel opening schedules. When negotiating your offer, ask Hilton's HR or legal team to confirm whether premium processing will be used, since standard H-1B processing timelines can conflict with construction project milestones.

Find Project Director at Hilton JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hilton sponsor H-1B visas for Project Directors?
Hilton does sponsor H-1B visas, but Project Director roles at the company have also been filled through H-2B sponsorship depending on the position's duration and scope. Whether a specific opening includes H-1B sponsorship depends on the hiring region and project timeline, so confirming sponsorship type directly with the recruiter before applying is the practical first step.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Director roles at Hilton?
Project Director positions at Hilton can fall under H-1B, which requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation tied to a specific degree field, or H-2B for temporary project-based work. Candidates targeting a long-term career path in Hilton's development or construction division should pursue H-1B sponsorship, since H-2B status is not a direct pathway to permanent residency.
What qualifications and experience does Hilton expect for Project Director roles?
Hilton's Project Director positions typically require a degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, along with significant experience overseeing large-scale hotel construction or renovation projects. Familiarity with brand standards compliance, contract management, and coordinating across design, ownership, and operations teams is consistently reflected in Hilton's job postings for this function.
How do I apply for Project Director jobs at Hilton?
Applications go through Hilton's careers portal, where Project Director roles are listed by region and business unit. To find openings that explicitly include visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate to filter Hilton's active Project Director postings by visa type. Tailoring your application to reference Hilton's specific brand families and development pipeline strengthens your candidacy at the screening stage.
How do I plan my timeline if Hilton sponsors my H-1B as a Project Director?
H-1B petitions can be filed up to six months before your intended start date, and USCIS standard processing runs three to five months. Because Project Director start dates often align with construction schedules, confirming whether Hilton will use premium processing, which reduces USCIS adjudication to 15 business days, matters for both parties. If you're transitioning from another visa status, factor in any gap between your current authorization and the H-1B start date.
