INTRODUCTION
Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We are seeking an experienced heavy equipment Shop Service Technician for our Little Elm, Texas, located at 27600 E University Dr., Aubrey, TX 76227. This position is responsible for providing high-quality repair service on heavy equipment in a shop environment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. The position has a Monday to Friday work schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
QUALIFICATIONS
A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:
- Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the shop such as pumps, hydraulics, engine, transmissions, HVAC and electrical issues, and other repairs necessary.
- At least 3 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure. CAT ET & CAT SiS 2.0 knowledge preferred.
- Able to document all work orders properly.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose Tier 4 systems.
- Completion of a diesel technology program is highly desired.
- Must have steady employment.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have the ability to obtain a forklift license.
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50-lbs., approximately 10 times a day.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Excellent attendance required.
- Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Must have own tools.
