Verify Your Clinical Credentials Before Applying
Most healthcare roles at Hospice of the Valley require state licensure, and some positions need CGFNS certification if you trained abroad. Confirm your credentials are recognized in Arizona before submitting an application, or your candidacy will stall at the offer stage.
Target Roles Aligned With TN Eligibility
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN status covers specific healthcare categories including nurses, physical therapists, and medical technologists. Matching your job title to a qualifying TN occupation before you apply strengthens your case during negotiations.
Understand the Difference Between OPT and Sponsored Status
Starting on F-1 OPT gives you a foot in the door, but healthcare employers run on tight staffing schedules. Raise the conversation about long-term sponsorship, such as EB-2 or EB-3, early so the PERM labor certification process can begin before your OPT window closes.
Prepare a Credential Evaluation for Foreign Degrees
Hospice and palliative care roles often require a bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, or a related field. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a NACES-approved credential evaluation ready before your interview so the offer process moves without delays.
Time Your Application Around Hospice Hiring Cycles
Hospice organizations typically see increased hiring demand in late summer and early fall as they plan for the next fiscal year. Applying during this window gives you better access to open positions and more flexibility to negotiate visa sponsorship terms with HR.

Find Healthcare at Hospice of the Valley JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hospice of the Valley sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Hospice of the Valley's primary sponsorship pathways for healthcare roles are EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas rather than H-1B. The H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, which creates uncertainty for clinical hiring. If you're seeking a more predictable route, the EB-3 pathway through PERM labor certification is the more common track for nurses and allied health professionals at this organization.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Hospice of the Valley?
You can browse and apply for Healthcare positions at Hospice of the Valley directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles open to visa sponsorship. Once you identify a match, apply through the employer's official careers portal with a resume tailored to hospice and palliative care settings, and be prepared to provide state licensure documentation early in the screening process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare roles at Hospice of the Valley?
Hospice of the Valley sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas for longer-term healthcare hires, and accepts candidates on F-1 OPT and CPT for eligible roles. TN visas are an option for qualified Canadian and Mexican citizens in recognized healthcare occupations. Each pathway has different eligibility requirements, so matching your situation to the right visa type before applying matters.
What qualifications are expected for Healthcare roles at Hospice of the Valley?
Most clinical positions require an active Arizona state license in your discipline, whether nursing, social work, or a related field. Hospice-specific experience or a background in palliative, geriatric, or home health care is a strong differentiator. Foreign-trained applicants should also have a NACES-approved credential evaluation and, where applicable, CGFNS certification completed before the interview stage.
How long does the sponsorship process typically take for Healthcare positions?
For EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification filed with the DOL typically takes six to twelve months before an I-140 petition can be submitted to USCIS. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, initiating this process early in your employment period is critical. TN and CPT routes are faster, but they don't lead directly to permanent residence without additional steps.
