INTRODUCTION
I'm currently working on a rare opportunity with a national litigation firm who are seeking an excellent mid-level civil litigator to join on a contract basis. Labor & Employment experience is a plus, but they are also open to other civil litigation backgrounds. This could be a fully remote opportunity and requires the attorney to be barred and in good standing in Oregon. The role offers high quality exposure with the possibility of reoccurring work based on firm needs.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate requirements:
- Civil defence litigation experience, preferably in Labor & Employment but open to other backgrounds
- 3+ year attorney
- Active bar admission in Oregon
This role would suit a driven, organised, and experienced attorney who is able to start soon.

Target roles aligned with Green Card sponsorship
Hydrogen Group's sponsorship activity is concentrated in permanent residency pathways rather than temporary work visas. Focus your application on roles where EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility is realistic, typically professional or specialized positions within HR and recruiting functions.
Understand the EB-2 vs. EB-3 distinction before applying
Hydrogen Group sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. EB-2 generally requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers. Know which category fits your background before your interview so you can speak to it confidently.
Emphasize long-term career commitment in your application
Green Card sponsorship is a significant employer investment. Hydrogen Group, as an HR-focused firm, evaluates candidates with a long-term lens. Highlight your intent to build a sustained career in HR, talent acquisition, or workforce solutions to strengthen your case.
Research Hydrogen Group's client-facing and internal hiring tracks
As a staffing and HR services company, Hydrogen Group hires both for internal operations and client delivery. Sponsorship is more common in internal specialist roles. Clarify which track you're applying for and tailor your pitch to that team's needs.
Raise sponsorship early and frame it professionally
With an HR-industry employer like Hydrogen Group, immigration conversations are familiar territory. Bring up your visa needs early in the process, frame the sponsorship type clearly, and come prepared with a basic understanding of Green Card timelines to show you've done your homework.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hydrogen Group sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, Hydrogen Group's activity is focused on permanent residency through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories rather than H-1B visa temporary work visas. If an H-1B is your immediate need, it's worth confirming directly with their recruitment team during the hiring process, as sponsorship offerings can evolve.
What visa types does Hydrogen Group sponsor?
Hydrogen Group sponsors employment-based Green Cards, specifically through the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. EB-2 is suited for professionals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers in qualifying roles. Both pathways lead to permanent residency, making Hydrogen Group a strong option for candidates seeking long-term U.S. work authorization.
Which roles at Hydrogen Group are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Hydrogen Group tends to align with specialized internal roles in HR, talent acquisition, workforce consulting, or recruitment operations rather than entry-level or generalist positions. Candidates with demonstrable expertise in human capital management, executive search, or HR technology are best positioned. Review current listings carefully and ask directly about sponsorship eligibility during the interview process.
How do I apply for a sponsored position at Hydrogen Group?
Start by identifying open roles that match your background in HR or staffing. Apply through Hydrogen Group's careers page and raise your immigration status early with the recruiter. Since they sponsor Green Cards, you'll want to discuss whether EB-2 or EB-3 fits your qualifications. Migrate Mate can help you locate current openings at Hydrogen Group alongside other verified sponsors in the HR industry.
How long does the Green Card sponsorship process take with Hydrogen Group?
Employment-based Green Card timelines vary significantly depending on your country of birth, the preference category, and USCIS processing backlogs. The employer-sponsored portion, which includes PERM labor certification and I-140 petition approval, typically takes one to three years before the final adjustment of status stage. Candidates from high-demand countries like India may face extended priority date waits. Consulting an immigration attorney early in the process is strongly recommended.
