Position Summary:
The Ice Cream Production Quality Technician ensures that all ice cream products meet internal quality standards and comply with food safety regulations. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting in-process and finished product testing, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Control & Testing:
- Perform routine sampling and testing of ice cream and frozen dessert products during production and post-packaging.
- Verify compliance with HACCP, SQF, FDA, and company-specific quality standards.
- Document and report test results promptly; initiate corrective actions for deviations.
Production Support:
- Monitor critical control points during mixing, freezing, filling, and packaging stages.
- Assist production teams in implementing SOPs for hygiene, sanitation, and quality assurance.
- Support pilot-scale trials and new product launches in collaboration with R&D.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, calibrations, and quality audits.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of chemicals, reagents, and finished goods.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with QA and production teams to implement best practices and reduce waste.
