Align your credentials with NEC standards
Jabil's manufacturing environments operate under strict National Electrical Code requirements. Before applying, confirm your electrical certifications and any foreign trade credentials are documented in terms U.S. hiring managers recognize, including conduit work, panel installation, and industrial PLC familiarity.
Target facilities with active production roles
Jabil operates large-scale electronics manufacturing campuses across states like Florida, Texas, and California. Prioritize locations with active facility expansion or new production lines, where demand for licensed electricians is driven by capital equipment installation rather than backfill hiring.
Understand how TN classification applies here
Canadian and Mexican nationals holding a relevant engineering technology or industrial electrical credential may qualify for TN status for this role. Confirm your specific job title and duties map cleanly to an approved TN occupation category before the offer stage to avoid delays.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Electrician roles
Filtered searches by visa type and employer are faster than general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to surface Jabil's current Electrician openings verified for sponsorship eligibility, so you're applying to roles where the immigration pathway is already confirmed.
Document your OPT or CPT authorization clearly
If you're on F-1 OPT or CPT, provide your DSO contact and I-20 end date proactively to Jabil's HR team. Electronics manufacturers like Jabil frequently hire OPT candidates for technical roles, but delays often come from incomplete work authorization paperwork, not the offer itself.

Find Electrician at Jabil JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Jabil sponsor H-1B visas for Electricians?
Yes, Jabil sponsors H-1B visas for Electrician roles where the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Electrician roles in electronics manufacturing can meet this threshold when they require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant electrical or engineering field. Your specific duties and the job description will determine whether the role clears that bar.
How do I apply for Electrician jobs at Jabil?
You can apply directly through Jabil's careers portal or find verified sponsorship-eligible openings through Migrate Mate, which filters Jabil's Electrician roles by visa type. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight industrial electrical experience relevant to electronics manufacturing, including equipment maintenance, PLC systems, and compliance with NEC or equivalent standards.
Which visa types does Jabil commonly use for Electrician roles?
Jabil sponsors Electrician candidates across several visa categories including H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT, with Green Card pathways available through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications. TN is a practical option for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and the specific duties outlined in your job offer.
What qualifications does Jabil expect for Electrician positions?
Jabil's Electrician roles in electronics manufacturing typically require experience with industrial electrical systems, including motor controls, panel wiring, conduit installation, and preventive maintenance. Familiarity with PLCs and adherence to OSHA and NEC standards is common across facility-level roles. For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires the position to demand a relevant bachelor's degree, so roles with a stronger technical or engineering component are more likely to qualify.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if Jabil extends an offer?
Timeline depends heavily on visa type. H-1B sponsorship is subject to the annual lottery, with the cap-subject filing window opening each April for an October 1 start date. TN status for Canadian nationals can be processed at the border with same-day approval. PERM labor certification for Green Card pathways through DOL typically adds 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed.
