Frame your resume around QSR customer metrics
Jack in the Box hiring managers look for measurable service experience. Quantify resolution rates, average handle times, or satisfaction scores from prior roles. Food and beverage operations move fast, so showing you've worked in high-volume, time-sensitive environments matters more than a polished CV format.
Target corporate support roles over restaurant-level positions
Visa sponsorship at Jack in the Box applies to corporate and regional Customer Support functions, not hourly restaurant crew. Focus your search on roles listed under corporate operations or guest relations, where the company has the infrastructure to file petitions and run PERM if needed.
Ask about sponsorship intent during the screening call
Food and beverage companies often have centralized HR teams that decide sponsorship case by case. Ask the recruiter directly whether the role has been approved for sponsorship before investing in multiple interview rounds. Silence on this early wastes weeks you may not have if your OPT or status is running short.
Confirm your OPT start date aligns with hiring cycles
Jack in the Box typically posts Customer Support roles on a rolling basis. If you're on F-1 OPT, check that your authorized employment start date lines up with when the role would actually begin. A gap between your OPT authorization and the onboarding date can create unauthorized employment issues USCIS scrutinizes closely.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Customer Support roles by sponsorship type
Not every Jack in the Box Customer Support listing is open to sponsored candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that match your visa type, so you spend your applications on positions where sponsorship is already on the table rather than chasing listings that quietly exclude it.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage requirements early
For H-1B or EB-2/EB-3 sponsorship, Jack in the Box must pay the DOL prevailing wage for the Customer Support role in the work location. Research the relevant wage level for your city before negotiating an offer. Accepting below-prevailing-wage terms can stall or invalidate the filing process entirely.

Does Jack in the Box sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Support roles?
Jack in the Box does sponsor H-1B visas, but sponsorship for Customer Support roles is limited to corporate and regional positions where the job qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Restaurant-level or hourly support roles don't meet that threshold. If you're interviewing for a corporate Customer Support function, ask the recruiter directly whether the position has been approved for H-1B sponsorship before advancing.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at Jack in the Box?
Applications go through Jack in the Box's careers portal. For international candidates, the most efficient approach is to filter listings by role type and confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. Migrate Mate lets you browse open Customer Support positions at Jack in the Box filtered by visa type, so you can apply directly to roles where sponsorship is already part of the picture.
Which visa types does Jack in the Box sponsor for Customer Support positions?
Jack in the Box has sponsored H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for roles across its operations. For Customer Support specifically, F-1 OPT and CPT are the most common entry points since they're employer-authorized without a USCIS petition. H-1B and permanent residence paths through EB-2 or EB-3 are available for corporate roles that meet specialty occupation or labor certification requirements.
What qualifications does Jack in the Box expect for sponsored Customer Support roles?
Corporate Customer Support roles at Jack in the Box typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as communications, business, or hospitality management, along with documented experience in a high-volume service environment. For H-1B sponsorship, the role must require a specific degree in a directly related field. Candidates with QSR industry experience, bilingual capabilities, or backgrounds in guest relations tend to be more competitive for sponsored positions.
How do I time my application given H-1B cap deadlines and OPT expiration?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your authorization end date gives you enough runway to complete the selection lottery and filing process. OPT STEM extensions give eligible graduates up to 24 additional months of work authorization, which can bridge the gap if you miss one lottery cycle. Plan backwards from your OPT expiration to identify the latest viable application window.
