Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Teaching Jobs at Lincoln University Jobs
Align Your Credentials to U.S. Academic Standards
Lincoln University evaluates teaching candidates on degree equivalency and field-specific expertise. If your doctorate or master's was earned abroad, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying so hiring committees can assess your qualifications without delay.
Target Departments Matching Your Teaching Specialization
Faculty openings at Lincoln University are posted by department, not just job category. Search by discipline rather than title alone so you find roles where your research area and teaching background directly match what the hiring committee is prioritizing for that semester.
Understand How F-1 OPT Bridges Your First Academic Year
If you're finishing a U.S. graduate program, F-1 OPT lets you start teaching while your employer files an H-1B. The USCIS cap-gap rule extends your status automatically if your OPT expires before October 1, protecting your authorization through the transition.
Ask About PERM Timelines During Offer Negotiations
For Teaching roles leading to permanent residence via EB-2 or EB-3, DOL's PERM labor certification can take a year or more before the I-140 petition even starts. Clarifying the university's typical sponsorship sequence during the offer stage helps you plan your visa runway realistically.
Browse Open Teaching Roles Through Migrate Mate
Finding Teaching positions at employers with a confirmed sponsorship track record takes more than a general job board search. Use Migrate Mate to filter Lincoln University's open Teaching roles by visa type so you can focus your applications where sponsorship is already in scope.
Prepare Your Teaching Portfolio Before the H-1B Filing Window
H-1B petitions for university Teaching roles require evidence of specialty occupation, typically your syllabi, course descriptions, and publication record. Assemble these documents before your employer engages immigration counsel so the I-129 preparation doesn't stall waiting on materials from you.

Find Teaching at Lincoln University JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Lincoln University sponsor H-1B visas for Teachers?
Yes, Lincoln University sponsors H-1B visas for Teaching roles that qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Most full-time faculty and instructor positions meet this threshold. The university files the H-1B petition as the petitioner, meaning you don't pay the filing fees yourself, though you should confirm the specifics during your offer negotiation.
How do I apply for Teaching jobs at Lincoln University?
Teaching positions at Lincoln University are posted through the university's careers portal, typically organized by academic department. You can also browse Lincoln University's open Teaching roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which helps you confirm sponsorship is in scope before investing time in a full application. Shortlisted candidates generally complete a phone screen, a teaching demonstration, and a panel interview.
Which visa types does Lincoln University commonly use for Teaching roles?
Lincoln University sponsors H-1B visas for most full-time Teaching positions and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates still completing U.S. degrees. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose teaching discipline appears on the USMCA qualifying occupation list. For longer-term faculty hires, the university also initiates EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the DOL PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Lincoln University expect for Teaching roles?
Requirements vary by level, but most Teaching positions expect at minimum a master's degree in the relevant discipline, with a doctorate preferred or required for tenure-track faculty. Prior classroom or instructional experience, a record of scholarly activity, and the ability to teach multiple courses within a department's curriculum are standard expectations. Credentials earned outside the United States should be evaluated by a NACES-recognized credential evaluation service before you apply.
How do I time my application around the H-1B filing cycle?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year, with the lottery drawn shortly after. If you're targeting a Teaching role that requires H-1B sponsorship and you're not already in a cap-exempt status, you need an offer in place by late February or early March at the latest. Missing that window means waiting until the following fiscal year unless Lincoln University can bridge you on OPT cap-gap, TN, or another interim status.
