Target engineering and technical roles first
McWane's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines common to manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, and process engineering. Focus your application on roles where a specialized degree is a clear requirement, not just a preference.
Research McWane's subsidiary and facility locations
McWane operates multiple manufacturing facilities across the U.S. under different subsidiaries. Sponsored roles may sit under a specific business unit, so search broadly across the McWane family of companies, not just the parent name.
Highlight hands-on manufacturing or industrial experience
McWane sponsors roles requiring applied technical expertise, not just academic credentials. Emphasize relevant internships, co-ops, or plant-floor experience in your resume. Manufacturing employers value demonstrated familiarity with production environments.

How do I time my application to McWane around the H-1B cap?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with work authorization starting October 1 if selected.
