Align your credentials with Medpace's CRO model
Medpace operates as a full-service CRO, so your CV should highlight end-to-end trial management experience, not just site coordination. Therapeutic area depth, particularly oncology or cardiology, strengthens your profile before you apply.
Target roles in Medpace's Cincinnati headquarters first
Medpace's largest concentration of Clinical Project Manager openings is at its Cincinnati campus. Applications tied to that location move through a more established hiring pipeline, which matters when visa sponsorship timelines are part of your planning.
Use Migrate Mate to filter CPM openings by sponsorship history
Not every posted role comes with a clear sponsorship commitment. Filter Clinical Project Manager openings at Medpace by verified sponsorship activity on Migrate Mate so you're applying to positions where the pathway is already established.
Clarify your OPT or grace period window before the offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility and remaining authorized period before Medpace extends an offer. A 60-day gap between jobs can affect your status, so timing the start date against your I-94 record is essential.
Understand how H-1B cap timing affects your start date
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS only allows cap-subject petitions to be filed in April for an October 1 start. Discuss this constraint with Medpace's HR team early so your offer letter and projected start date reflect realistic filing windows.
Ask Medpace directly about their PERM sponsorship policy
Green Card sponsorship through PERM is employer-discretionary and typically begins after demonstrated performance in the role. Asking about EB-2 or EB-3 eligibility during the offer negotiation stage, not mid-employment, gives you a clearer picture of the long-term pathway.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Medpace sponsor H-1B visas for Clinical Project Managers?
Yes, Medpace sponsors H-1B visas for Clinical Project Manager roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given its requirement for a degree in life sciences, clinical research, or a related field. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Medpace can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
How do I apply for Clinical Project Manager jobs at Medpace?
Applications go through Medpace's careers portal, where Clinical Project Manager openings are posted by therapeutic area and seniority level. Tailoring your application to the specific trial phase and disease area listed in each posting improves your fit. You can also browse and filter Medpace CPM roles with confirmed sponsorship activity on Migrate Mate before applying directly.
Which visa types does Medpace commonly use for Clinical Project Manager roles?
Medpace sponsors several visa categories for Clinical Project Managers, including the H-1B for specialty occupation workers, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying scientific or professional categories, and J-1 visa for exchange visitors. Candidates already in the U.S. on a valid status can often transfer or extend without leaving the country.
What qualifications does Medpace expect for a Clinical Project Manager?
Medpace generally expects a bachelor's degree or higher in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or a related discipline, combined with direct experience managing clinical trials from startup through closeout. Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines and experience with Phase II or Phase III studies is standard. Senior-level CPM roles often require therapeutic area specialization and prior experience managing cross-functional global teams.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Medpace as a Clinical Project Manager?
Timeline depends on visa type. An H-1B transfer for a candidate already in status can allow a start within two to three weeks of USCIS receiving the petition. A cap-subject H-1B requires filing in April with a mandatory October 1 start. TN processing at the border can be same-day for eligible nationals. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, if offered, typically takes several years and usually begins after you've been in the role.
