Tailor your resume to healthcare administration
Memorial Hermann hires administrative assistants across clinical departments, executive offices, and patient services. Highlight experience with medical scheduling software, HIPAA compliance, and multi-department coordination to signal you already understand healthcare operational demands.
Verify your credentials match posted requirements
Many of Memorial Hermann's administrative roles specify proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems. Before applying, confirm your resume reflects any hands-on system experience, since these are treated as hard requirements rather than preferences during screening.
Target departments with sustained administrative hiring
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Administrative Assistant roles at Memorial Hermann Health System by department and location, so you can identify which facilities and service lines are actively hiring and prioritize applications where sponsorship has historically been granted.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Memorial Hermann processes H-1B petitions through USCIS on behalf of sponsored employees. Raise your visa status during the HR screening call, not after an offer, so the recruiting team can confirm internal sponsorship approval before investing further in your candidacy.
Align your start date with H-1B cap deadlines
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Work backward from that date when negotiating your offer timeline with Memorial Hermann's HR team to avoid a gap in work authorization.
Preserve F-1 OPT grace periods during hiring delays
If you're on F-1 OPT and Memorial Hermann's offer or onboarding extends past your authorization end date, notify your DSO immediately. The 60-day grace period after OPT expiration does not permit employment, so any gap requires proactive status management with your institution.

Does Memorial Hermann Health System sponsor H-1B visas for Administrative Assistants?
Yes, Memorial Hermann Health System has sponsored H-1B visas for Administrative Assistant roles. You'll need a confirmed job offer before sponsorship can begin, and roles must meet specialty occupation standards under USCIS guidelines.
Which visa types are commonly used for Administrative Assistant roles at Memorial Hermann Health System?
H-1B is the most common employer-sponsored pathway for Administrative Assistants at Memorial Hermann. F-1 OPT and CPT are also used, particularly for recent graduates completing degree programs in healthcare administration or business. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying administrative categories. Each pathway has different authorization timelines and renewal requirements.
What qualifications or experience does Memorial Hermann Health System expect for Administrative Assistant roles?
Memorial Hermann typically expects proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems such as Epic, along with experience supporting clinical or administrative teams in a healthcare environment. Strong organizational skills, familiarity with HIPAA requirements, and prior experience in a hospital or multi-department setting strengthen your application considerably over candidates with general office backgrounds.
How do I apply for Administrative Assistant jobs at Memorial Hermann Health System?
Browse current Administrative Assistant openings at Memorial Hermann Health System on Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can quickly identify roles where your work authorization status is supported. How do I time my application to align with Memorial Hermann's sponsorship and hiring process?
Memorial Hermann's administrative hiring cycles often follow budget and fiscal planning timelines, with activity peaking in the first and third quarters.
