Morris Heights Health Center (MHHC) is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to provide hands-on operational and clinical leadership across multiple outpatient practice areas. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily nursing operations across assigned ambulatory practice areas to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care
- Manage staffing and scheduling for nursing teams (RN, LPN, MA, and care support roles), including coverage planning and real-time adjustments
- Partner with Practice Management, Providers, and Access teams to optimize patient flow, clinical readiness, and service delivery
- Ensure regulatory and policy compliance (infection prevention, medication administration, documentation standards, safety readiness)
- Oversee clinical supply and equipment readiness (inventory controls, ordering, cost-conscious utilization)
- Coach and develop nursing staff through onboarding, training, competency validation, performance management, and recognition
- Drive quality improvement initiatives using data, audits, and structured improvement methods (e.g., PDSA)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BSN required (Master’s preferred: Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field)
- Active, unrestricted NYS RN license
- BLS required (ACLS preferred)
- 3–5 years progressive nursing experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role
- Ambulatory care / primary care / multispecialty outpatient experience strongly preferred
- EMR proficiency (NextGen) and comfort with metrics/quality indicators
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CNML, NE-BC, or comparable nursing leadership/administration certification
