We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next. With the launch of our ad-supported model in 12 major markets, we are now working toward providing more choices for consumers and a premium, better-than-linear TV brand experience for advertisers. That said, we are looking for founding team members who will be instrumental in shaping this new business area for Netflix!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Senior Manager to launch and lead Netflix FLEX (Full Time Leave & Extended Coverage) — a structured, supplemental coverage model designed to protect revenue continuity. As a Senior Manager, FLEX Sales, you will lead a team that supports key client-direct and major holding company relationships, working in tight alignment with cross-functional partners and permanent account teams to ensure seamless coverage and consistently high-caliber service. In this role, you will rely on your deep experience leading teams that sell advertising solutions to Fortune 500 enterprise clients to help grow and scale Netflix’s US advertising business. Leveraging your broad digital media expertise—especially across digital video and programmatic—you will execute the strategic vision for how your team partners with clients and agencies, ensuring continuity, stability, and growth. You will be accountable to drive Netflix’s full range of advertising solutions that align with client objectives, protect long-term relationships, and maintain revenue momentum during periods of change or transition. This role includes periodic travel and external representation at industry events, where you will act as a visible senior leader, reinforcing Netflix’s position as a trusted, consultative partner to top-tier advertisers and their agencies.
- Lead a team of senior sellers responsible for owning smooth coverage transitions across a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts, ensuring continuity of strategy, client trust, and revenue momentum during periods of change or leave coverage.
- Set the vision and standards for how the team generates executive-level interest and excitement in Netflix’s advertising solutions with CMOs, Marketing leaders, Brand Managers, and Media Directors, guiding them on how to influence enterprise ad spending decisions.
- Provide leadership and direction on clients’ programmatic strategies and investments (audience planning, data strategy, analytics/measurement, creative), ensuring your team positions Netflix as a core, always-on component of clients’ media mix.
- Lead collaboration with agency partners, cross-functional stakeholders, and permanent sales leaders to grow revenue, de-risk transitions, and maintain aligned strategies across all covered accounts.
- Orchestrate cross-functional engagement with Partner Marketing, Business Development, Policy, Legal, Brand Partnerships, and Live Experiences to ensure holistic, leadership-level support for client needs and to unlock non-traditional growth opportunities.
- Oversee the creation of data-informed, comprehensive business plans across your team’s portfolio, and synthesize these into clear go-to-market strategies and performance narratives for Netflix senior leadership.
- Partner with sales leadership to set strategic objectives, coverage models, and revenue goals for the business, and implement mechanisms (reviews, KPIs, dashboards) that maximize impact and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, including leadership experience managing senior, quota-carrying enterprise sales teams.
- 5+ years focused on Fortune 500 enterprise clients and complex multi-agency holding company relationships, with demonstrated success leading teams in these environments.
- Advanced technical fluency across data and technology ecosystems, audience strategy, programmatic platforms, measurement science, and privacy-forward solutions, coupled with the ability to coach and develop these skills in others.
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts into simple, authoritative narratives for C-suite audiences, and to develop team-wide standards for executive storytelling.
- Strong consultative leadership style that aligns multiple stakeholders (internal and external) around shared goals and drives teams toward measurable, business-critical outcomes.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to elevate communication quality and narrative rigor across your team.

Align your experience with Netflix's revenue model
Netflix Sales roles are built around advertising partnerships and B2B deals, not traditional SaaS or retail sales. Frame your resume around media buying, programmatic advertising, or platform partnership experience to match the specific revenue motions Netflix prioritizes.
Research open roles using Migrate Mate
Filter Sales jobs at Netflix by visa type on Migrate Mate to see which specific roles align with your sponsorship eligibility. This saves time you'd otherwise spend cold-applying to roles that don't match your visa category.
Prepare a specialty occupation narrative for your Sales role
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations. For Sales positions, that means documenting how your role requires a specific bachelor's degree, such as Business, Marketing, or Communications, not just general sales ability.
Target Netflix's advertising sales division specifically
Netflix Ads, launched as a standalone business unit, has been actively building its sales organization. Roles on this team are more likely to sit within a formal headcount plan that already accounts for visa sponsorship bandwidth.
Raise sponsorship during the offer stage, not before
Bringing up visa needs too early in the Netflix interview process can stall momentum. Once you have a verbal offer, your recruiter routes the request to Netflix's internal immigration team, which coordinates directly with outside counsel to assess your case.

Find Sales at Netflix JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Netflix sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Netflix sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions. The role typically needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which means the position must require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Sales roles tied to advertising, media partnerships, or enterprise accounts tend to meet this threshold more reliably than generalist sales positions.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Netflix?
Apply directly through Netflix's careers site, or use Migrate Mate to filter open Netflix Sales roles by the visa types you're eligible for. Tailor your application to the specific business unit, whether that's Netflix Ads, content partnerships, or enterprise, since each team has distinct revenue responsibilities and hiring criteria.
Which visa types does Netflix commonly use for Sales roles?
Netflix sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Sales talent. E-3 is available to Australian citizens only. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates before transitioning to employer-sponsored status.
What qualifications does Netflix expect for Sales roles?
Netflix typically looks for Sales candidates with a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience in media, advertising, or technology sales. For senior roles, a track record of managing large accounts or closing complex partnership deals in a streaming, digital media, or programmatic advertising environment is a significant differentiator.
How do I time my application around visa processing for a Netflix Sales role?
If you need H-1B cap sponsorship, Netflix would need to file your petition in April for an October 1 start date, so factor that into your job search timeline. If you're on F-1 OPT with STEM extension, you have more flexibility, but confirm your OPT expiration date before your expected start. For E-3 or TN, consular processing can move faster, often within a few weeks of receiving your offer documents.
