Build a portfolio around brand narrative
Nike's marketing teams evaluate candidates on their ability to tell a brand story across channels, not just execute campaigns. Document work that shows consumer insight, creative direction, and measurable impact on brand perception before you apply.
Target roles tied to specific product categories
Nike structures its Brand Marketing function around categories like Running, Jordan, and Sportswear. Applying to a category-specific role rather than a general marketing opening positions you as a specialist, which strengthens both your candidacy and the specialty occupation case for H-1B or E-3 sponsorship.
Confirm your visa type early in conversations
Nike sponsors multiple visa categories, so clarify which applies to your situation before the offer stage. F-1 OPT lets you start immediately while H-1B or E-3 paperwork processes, but your employer needs enough lead time to file with USCIS or certify an LCA with DOL.
Search visa-friendly Brand Marketing roles on Migrate Mate
Filtering by role function and visa type saves significant time when targeting fashion and apparel employers. Use Migrate Mate to find open Brand Marketing positions at Nike and comparable sponsors, so you're only pursuing employers with a verified sponsorship history.
Align your degree field to the role description
For specialty occupation approval, USCIS looks for a direct connection between your degree and the specific role. A marketing, communications, or business degree maps cleanly to Brand Marketing. If your field is adjacent, prepare to document how your coursework or credentials support the job's core responsibilities.

Find Brand Marketing at Nike JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Nike sponsor H-1B visas for Brand Marketers?
Yes, Nike sponsors H-1B visas for Brand Marketing roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as marketing, communications, or business. Your employer files the H-1B petition with USCIS, and if you're already on F-1 OPT, you can continue working while the petition is pending under cap-gap protection.
How do I apply for Brand Marketing jobs at Nike?
Applications go through Nike's careers portal at jobs.nike.com, where you can filter by function and location. Roles are organized by category team, so searching for your specific area, such as Jordan or Nike Running, returns more relevant results. You can also browse verified Brand Marketing openings at Nike with sponsorship context on Migrate Mate before going directly to the Nike portal to apply.
Which visa types does Nike commonly sponsor for Brand Marketing roles?
Nike sponsors a range of visa categories for marketing talent, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for current students, J-1 for exchange visitors, and immigrant pathways like EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term sponsorship. Which visa applies depends on your nationality, current status, and the seniority of the role you're targeting.
What qualifications and experience does Nike expect for Brand Marketing roles?
Nike's Brand Marketing positions typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. Beyond credentials, teams look for demonstrated experience in campaign development, consumer storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration. For category-specific roles like Jordan or Sportswear, familiarity with the target consumer and cultural context carries significant weight alongside formal qualifications.
How do I time a visa application alongside Nike's hiring process?
The offer and filing timeline varies by visa type. H-1B petitions have an April 1 filing window for an October 1 start date, so a role secured after April may require you to bridge on OPT or another status. E-3 and TN visas process faster and have no annual cap, giving more scheduling flexibility. Confirm your situation with Nike's HR team as early as the offer stage so DOL and USCIS deadlines don't compress the process.
