Frame Experience Around Cross-Functional Retail Programs
Nordstrom's Project Program Manager roles span merchandising, e-commerce, and fulfillment. Align your resume to reflect programs that crossed departmental lines, not single-team projects. Retail transformation or omnichannel work is especially relevant.
Confirm Sponsorship Willingness Before Applying
Not every open Project Program Manager role at Nordstrom is approved for sponsorship at the time of posting. Contact the recruiter early to confirm visa support is available for that specific requisition before investing time in the process.
Pursue PMP Certification to Strengthen Your Petition
For H-1B specialty occupation eligibility, USCIS looks for a direct link between your degree and the role. A PMP credential reinforces that the position requires professional-level expertise, supporting your employer's petition arguments.
Time Your OPT Application to Retail Hiring Cycles
Nordstrom's program management hiring accelerates ahead of major product and technology rollouts, typically earlier in the calendar year. If you're on F-1 OPT, apply during this window to maximize your chances before your work authorization window narrows.
Prepare Documentation for PERM Labor Certification Early
If Nordstrom pursues an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card for you, the PERM process with DOL requires the employer to document a formal recruitment effort. Understanding this timeline upfront helps you plan long-term status without gaps in work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to Target Verified Sponsoring Roles
Nordstrom posts Project Program Manager openings across multiple channels, but not all list visa sponsorship explicitly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Nordstrom roles with a confirmed sponsorship history so you apply where international candidates have actually been hired.

Find Project Program Manager at Nordstrom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Nordstrom sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Nordstrom sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for program management functions tied to its technology and retail operations. Sponsorship availability can vary by specific role and team budget, so confirming with the recruiter during initial conversations is the most reliable approach.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Nordstrom?
Apply directly through Nordstrom's careers portal, which lists all open Project Program Manager positions. Tailor your application to reflect cross-functional program delivery in retail, technology, or supply chain contexts. You can also browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings at Nordstrom through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with a documented visa sponsorship track record.
Which visa types does Nordstrom commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
Nordstrom sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for this role, and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for eligible students and recent graduates. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. For longer-term sponsorship, Nordstrom has filed EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions for program management positions through the PERM process with DOL.
What qualifications does Nordstrom expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Nordstrom typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs. Familiarity with retail systems, Agile delivery frameworks, or supply chain operations strengthens a candidacy. A PMP certification is valued and also helps establish the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires for H-1B petitions.
How do I plan my visa timeline when targeting a Project Program Manager role at Nordstrom?
If you're pursuing an H-1B, Nordstrom must file the petition after the April lottery registration window, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. F-1 OPT candidates should align job applications to their authorization window and account for the 60-day grace period if between roles. Starting conversations with Nordstrom recruiters three to six months before your current status expires gives both sides adequate runway.
