Align your credentials with U.S. licensure standards
Many healthcare roles at North East Medical Services require state licensure or federal certification before an employer can file your petition. Confirm your credential equivalency through USCIS-recognized evaluation services before applying so your candidacy doesn't stall at offer stage.
Target roles listed under specialty occupation criteria
H-1B eligibility in healthcare hinges on whether your role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Clinical roles tied to a defined discipline, like nursing informatics or physical therapy, tend to clear this bar more cleanly than generalist administrative titles.
Ask recruiters which visa types HR actively files
North East Medical Services sponsors multiple visa categories, including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT. In your recruiter conversation, ask directly which categories their HR and legal teams are currently set up to process, so you're not left waiting on a visa type they rarely handle.
Account for PERM timelines if pursuing permanent residence
If your goal is a Green Card via EB-2 or EB-3, the PERM labor certification process through DOL can take a year or longer before USCIS ever sees your petition. Factor this into your employment start timeline, especially if you're on OPT with a limited authorization window.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Healthcare openings at North East Medical Services span multiple departments and change regularly. Use Migrate Mate to filter live job listings by the visa category you need, so you're only spending time on roles the company has a demonstrated history of sponsoring.
Prepare your employment verification documents early
North East Medical Services participates in E-Verify, so your Form I-9 documentation needs to be ready from your first day. Gather your passport, visa stamp, and I-94 record ahead of your start date to avoid any delay in clearing employment verification.

Find Healthcare at North East Medical Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does North East Medical Services sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, North East Medical Services sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying healthcare roles. Eligibility depends on whether the specific position meets USCIS specialty occupation standards, which generally requires the role to demand at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Clinical and technically specialized positions typically meet this threshold more readily than broad support roles.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at North East Medical Services?
You can browse current Healthcare openings at North East Medical Services through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles matched to your situation. Once you find a relevant position, apply directly and confirm your sponsorship needs with the recruiter early in the process to avoid mismatches later.
Which visa types does North East Medical Services commonly use for Healthcare roles?
North East Medical Services sponsors several visa categories for healthcare positions, including H-1B, TN, J-1, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visas. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and role. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in specific healthcare occupations, while J-1 is common for clinical training placements.
What qualifications does North East Medical Services expect for sponsored Healthcare roles?
Expectations vary by role, but most sponsored healthcare positions require a relevant degree from an accredited institution, applicable U.S. state licensure or certification where the profession demands it, and in some cases prior clinical or technical experience. Roles in specialized disciplines like physical therapy, occupational therapy, or health informatics tend to have the most clearly defined credential requirements.
How do I understand the sponsorship timeline for a Healthcare role at North East Medical Services?
Timeline depends heavily on the visa type. H-1B petitions are tied to the October 1 fiscal year start and require filing in April, so an offer made outside that window may mean waiting up to a year before your start date. OPT authorization can bridge that gap if you're transitioning from an F-1 program. For permanent residence pathways, PERM and USCIS processing together typically span multiple years.
