INTRODUCTION
North Suffolk is looking for a Recovery Coach Manager to join our Recovery Support Services/Engagement team! Because of his/her life experience with addiction, the Recovery Coach Manager provides expertise that professional training cannot replicate. This position will support the Director of Recovery Support Services on training projects to enhance the knowledge of Substance Use Disorder and system navigation agency wide. This position will provide services that support entry into the recovery community and provide recovery support services to strengthen and enhance any clinical treatment services a person has recovering.
This is a full-time 40 hours/week position with some nights and weekends required.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll do:
- Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate and support Peer Recovery Coaches.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, providing coaching and guidance to staff to maintain a positive and productive environment.
- Ensure that program and individual records are up-to-date, comprehensive and compliant with agency policies and funding requirements.
- Will supervise the execution of special projects as assigned, relating to recovery coach and peer specialist intakes and assignments.
- Provide on call (cell phone) coverage for recoverees of the program. Respond to staff coverage, routine questions and system navigation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
What you’ll need:
- Education: May have a bachelor's degree in a field other than behavioral sciences or have a high school degree or GED.
- Experience: Must have work experience with adults diagnosed with substance use and or dependency. This individual should also have lived experience and supervisory experience.
- Knowledge: Must have two years acknowledged continuous sobriety and CARC. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
