Align your credentials with U.S. standards
If your degree is from a non-U.S. institution, get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying. Many Education roles at universities require a degree equivalency determination before HR can move forward with sponsorship.
Target roles with specialized degree requirements
H-1B eligibility depends on the position qualifying as a specialty occupation. Faculty and academic specialist roles at Oral Roberts University that require a specific field of study are stronger fits than generalist education support roles where any degree is accepted.
Understand the TN visa path for Canadians and Mexicans
If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship, TN classification can get you working significantly faster than H-1B. Education-related TN categories include college or university teachers, so confirm your role description maps to that category before your offer letter is drafted.
Build your profile around the university's mission alignment
Oral Roberts University is a faith-based institution. Education roles there often expect candidates to articulate how their professional practice aligns with the university's Christian mission, so framing your application materials with that context strengthens your candidacy before sponsorship even comes up.

Which visa types are commonly used for Education roles at Oral Roberts University?
The most common visa types for Education positions at Oral Roberts University are H-1B for specialty occupation roles, F-1 OPT and CPT for recent international graduates, and TN for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible education categories.
