Align Your Credentials with ORU's Curriculum
Oral Roberts University emphasizes faith-integrated instruction alongside academic rigor. Before applying, map your graduate degree and teaching experience to specific departments where your discipline aligns with ORU's course catalog and stated mission.
Request an Official Foreign Credential Evaluation
If your degree was earned outside the United States, get a NACES-approved evaluation before you apply. Universities processing H-1B petitions need documentation confirming your foreign degree is equivalent to a U.S. master's or higher.
Target Departments With Recurring Adjunct Openings
ORU posts adjunct roles across multiple schools simultaneously. Focusing your outreach on departments that post repeatedly, such as theology, business, or health sciences, increases your chances of landing a role where sponsorship precedent already exists.
Browse Verified Sponsoring Roles on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter for Adjunct Instructor openings at Oral Roberts University that are tied to visa sponsorship. This lets you prioritize applications to postings where ORU has already indicated willingness to sponsor international candidates.
Confirm H-1B Filing Timing With HR Early
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed with USCIS by April 1 for an October 1 start date. Adjunct roles often have rolling start dates, so confirm with ORU's HR office whether your position qualifies as cap-exempt through a university affiliation.
Clarify OPT and CPT Eligibility Before Accepting Terms
If you're on F-1 status, confirm with your Designated School Official whether the adjunct role qualifies for CPT or OPT authorization. Part-time or per-course appointments can complicate work authorization if not properly documented before your start date.

Your role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field.
How do I apply for Adjunct Instructor jobs at Oral Roberts University?
Applications are submitted through ORU's official careers portal. You'll typically need a resume, cover letter, unofficial transcripts, and a statement of teaching philosophy. Which visa types are commonly used for Adjunct Instructor roles at Oral Roberts University?
The most common visa types for Adjunct Instructors at ORU are H-1B, TN (for Canadian and Mexican nationals), F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT. H-1B is the standard route for longer-term employment. ORU generally requires a master's degree or higher in the relevant discipline for adjunct teaching roles, with a doctoral degree preferred for upper-division courses. How do I find Adjunct Instructor openings at Oral Roberts University that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended way to search for Adjunct Instructor roles at Oral Roberts University filtered by visa sponsorship type.
