Align Your Credentials to PBA's Curriculum
Palm Beach Atlantic University emphasizes faith-integrated liberal arts education. Review the specific department you're targeting and frame your transcript, teaching evaluations, and syllabi to show you've taught within values-based or interdisciplinary academic environments.
Obtain Foreign Credential Evaluation Early
If your degree was earned outside the U.S., get a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES-approved service before applying. Many university HR departments won't move forward with visa paperwork until equivalency is confirmed in writing.
Target Departments With Recurring Adjunct Openings
PBA posts adjunct roles across multiple colleges throughout the year. Prioritize departments where postings reopen each semester, which signals ongoing instructional need and a stronger internal case for sponsoring a visa rather than waiting for a domestic hire.
Clarify Sponsorship Eligibility Before Your First Interview
Ask the hiring department directly whether the position qualifies for H-1B sponsorship before investing time in the process. Adjunct roles can sometimes be structured as part-time, which affects the H-1B minimum hours threshold USCIS requires for specialty occupation petitions.
Understand the LCA Filing Requirement for H-1B
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your H-1B petition. For adjunct roles, the prevailing wage level must reflect the actual instructional duties, so confirm the job description accurately captures your responsibilities before the LCA is submitted.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active Openings
Adjunct postings at PBA can appear and close quickly across departments. Use Migrate Mate to search verified adjunct instructor roles at universities that sponsor visas, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the employer's hiring process.

Find Adjunct Instructor at Palm Beach Atlantic University JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Palm Beach Atlantic University sponsor H-1B visas for Adjunct Instructors?
Yes, Palm Beach Atlantic University has sponsored H-1B visas for instructional roles. However, adjunct positions vary in structure, and H-1B eligibility depends on whether the role meets USCIS requirements for a specialty occupation and sufficient weekly hours. Full-time or higher-load adjunct contracts are more straightforward to sponsor than minimal part-time arrangements.
Which visa types are commonly used for Adjunct Instructor roles at Palm Beach Atlantic University?
H-1B is the primary work visa used for adjunct instructors at U.S. universities, including PBA. E-3 is available for Australian citizens in specialty occupations. TN status covers Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying academic roles. F-1 students with valid OPT or CPT authorization may also work as adjunct instructors within their permitted employment terms without requiring separate sponsorship.
What qualifications are expected for Adjunct Instructor positions at Palm Beach Atlantic University?
Most adjunct roles at PBA require at minimum a master's degree in the relevant discipline, though doctoral credentials are strongly preferred, particularly for upper-division undergraduate courses. Candidates should expect to provide official transcripts, a teaching philosophy statement, and sample syllabi. PBA's Christian mission means cultural alignment with its values-based academic environment is also part of the evaluation.
How do I apply for Adjunct Instructor jobs at Palm Beach Atlantic University?
Applications go through PBA's official careers portal, where positions are listed by department and term. You'll typically submit a curriculum vitae, cover letter, transcripts, and references. For international candidates, you can also browse verified adjunct openings at sponsoring universities through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type to help you focus your search on employers already set up for sponsorship.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship to start an Adjunct Instructor role?
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start, so a role beginning mid-semester may not be feasible unless you're cap-exempt or already hold H-1B status. If you're on OPT, confirm your authorization end date against the intended start date. Coordinate with PBA's HR team on the LCA filing timeline, which must be completed before USCIS receives your petition.
