Frame your credentials around enterprise cybersecurity
Palo Alto Networks evaluates Strategic Business Development candidates on experience navigating complex B2B sales cycles in technology or software. Document specific outcomes with enterprise accounts, partner ecosystems, or cloud security deals before you apply.
Identify roles tied to named accounts
Palo Alto Networks structures much of its business development org around named enterprise accounts and strategic alliances. Targeting those specific sub-teams, rather than general BD postings, increases your alignment with the highest-sponsorship-activity parts of the org.
Verify your specialty occupation documentation for H-1B
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for business development roles more than engineering roles. Ensure your offer letter specifies a degree requirement in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or computer science, not just a generic bachelor's preference.
Browse open roles through Migrate Mate
Strategic Business Development positions at Palo Alto Networks open and close quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter actively hiring BD roles by visa type so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is confirmed, not inferred from an old job posting.

Find Strategic Business Development at Palo Alto Networks JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Palo Alto Networks sponsor H-1B visas for Strategic Business Developments?
Yes, Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B visas for Strategic Business Development roles. Because these positions typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, or computer science, they generally qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards. The company works with immigration counsel to file petitions, and candidates are typically evaluated during the standard interview process before sponsorship is confirmed.
Which visa types does Palo Alto Networks commonly sponsor for Strategic Business Development roles?
Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card categories for business development professionals. Australian citizens frequently use the E-3 pathway, which has no lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under TN. F-1 graduates typically enter on OPT before transitioning to an employer-sponsored category.
What qualifications does Palo Alto Networks expect for Strategic Business Development roles?
Most Strategic Business Development positions at Palo Alto Networks require a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in enterprise technology sales or partnership development. Familiarity with cybersecurity products, cloud platforms, or managed security services is a strong differentiator. Some senior roles expect prior experience managing complex channel or alliance relationships within the software or SaaS industry.
How do I apply for Strategic Business Development jobs at Palo Alto Networks?
You can find and apply for Strategic Business Development openings at Palo Alto Networks through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Applications go through Palo Alto Networks' own careers portal, and the interview process typically includes recruiter screening, hiring manager conversations, and a case or presentation round focused on go-to-market strategy or partnership scenarios.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Palo Alto Networks BD role?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so align your offer and hiring process to conclude before late March. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you can begin working immediately while the petition is pending under the cap-gap rule. USCIS premium processing, which currently takes 15 business days, is available and commonly used by tech employers to reduce uncertainty during onboarding.
