Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Service Specialist Jobs at PeaceHealth Jobs
Tailor your resume to PeaceHealth's care model
PeaceHealth operates as a mission-driven, nonprofit health system. Highlight experience supporting patients or customers in high-volume, team-based environments. Service Specialist roles reward candidates who demonstrate empathy, problem-solving, and familiarity with regulated service workflows.
Target open roles across multiple campuses
PeaceHealth runs facilities across the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Service Specialist openings vary by location and department, so searching by region rather than a single posting increases your chances of finding a role that fits your visa timeline and experience.
Confirm OPT or CPT eligibility before applying
If you're on F-1 status, verify your OPT start date and remaining authorized period against PeaceHealth's typical onboarding timeline. Healthcare employers often have longer credentialing steps that can compress your usable work window before a status change is needed.
Ask HR specifically about H-1B cap-exempt filing
PeaceHealth is a nonprofit healthcare entity, which may qualify it as a cap-exempt H-1B employer under USCIS rules. If confirmed, this means your petition can be filed outside the annual lottery, significantly improving your path to H-1B status for a Service Specialist role.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Service Specialist openings
Searching broadly across healthcare job boards misses sponsorship-specific filters. Use Migrate Mate to find PeaceHealth Service Specialist roles tagged for visa sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where international candidates are already being considered.
Prepare your credential documents before an offer is extended
Healthcare employers move quickly from offer to onboarding. Have your degree transcripts, any relevant certifications, and passport copies organized in advance. For TN or E-3 applicants, your employer will need these to draft the support letter before your port-of-entry or consular appointment.

Find Service Specialist at PeaceHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does PeaceHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Service Specialists?
Yes, PeaceHealth sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles, including Service Specialist positions. As a nonprofit healthcare organization, PeaceHealth may qualify as a cap-exempt employer under USCIS rules, meaning petitions could be filed outside the annual lottery. Confirm this directly with PeaceHealth's HR or immigration team during the offer stage, as cap-exempt status depends on how the position is structured and which facility you're hired through.
How do I apply for Service Specialist jobs at PeaceHealth?
Applications go through PeaceHealth's careers portal, where you can filter by role and location. Migrate Mate also lists active Service Specialist openings at PeaceHealth with visa sponsorship filters applied, which helps you identify positions where international candidates are actively considered. Tailor your application to highlight patient-facing or service operations experience relevant to PeaceHealth's care settings.
Which visa types does PeaceHealth commonly use for Service Specialist roles?
PeaceHealth sponsors across several visa categories for Service Specialist positions, including H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT. For candidates on student visas, OPT is the most common starting point. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories. For longer-term pathways, PeaceHealth also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for eligible employees.
What qualifications does PeaceHealth expect for Service Specialist positions?
Service Specialist roles at PeaceHealth typically require strong interpersonal communication, experience in customer-facing or patient support environments, and the ability to work across departments in a regulated healthcare setting. Some roles require familiarity with healthcare systems or scheduling platforms. A bachelor's degree is preferred for H-1B eligibility, so confirming the specific degree requirement with the hiring team before applying is important.
How do I time my application around a visa transition at PeaceHealth?
Timing matters significantly if you're moving from F-1 OPT to H-1B or completing a J-1 program. H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start, so your offer letter needs to come well before that. If PeaceHealth qualifies as cap-exempt, you have more flexibility. Coordinate your anticipated OPT expiration date or J-1 end date with PeaceHealth's HR team early in the interview process.
