Verify Your NCLEX and State Licensure Early
PeaceHealth operates in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska, each with its own Board of Nursing. Get your NCLEX-RN passed and confirm which state license you need before applying, since your petition can't move forward without it.
Target Specialties Facing Persistent Staffing Gaps
Acute care, ICU, and med-surg units at regional health systems like PeaceHealth tend to stay understaffed. Applying to high-need units strengthens your sponsorship case because employers are more motivated to absorb the filing process for hard-to-fill roles.
Confirm Sponsorship Before Your Offer Stage
Ask the recruiter directly which visa types the HR team has processed for nursing roles. PeaceHealth sponsors multiple categories, and knowing which pathway fits your situation before negotiations start prevents delays once an offer is extended.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Nursing Roles at PeaceHealth
Search Migrate Mate to filter PeaceHealth's open nursing positions by visa type. You can identify which roles are actively seeking sponsored candidates, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already built into the hiring plan.
Align Your J-1 Waiver Status Before Accepting an Offer
If you're completing a J-1 exchange program, the two-year home residency requirement bars you from H-1B or immigrant visa sponsorship until a waiver is granted. Resolve your Conrad 30 or federal agency waiver before entering PeaceHealth's offer process.

Find Nursing at PeaceHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does PeaceHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Nurses?
Yes, PeaceHealth sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying nursing roles. The H-1B requires the position to meet specialty occupation criteria, and registered nursing typically qualifies when a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required for the role. Your employer files the petition with USCIS, so confirm with the recruiter early that your specific unit and job title are included in their sponsorship program.
Which visa types does PeaceHealth commonly sponsor for Nursing roles?
PeaceHealth has sponsored H-1B, TN, J-1, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for nursing positions. EB-3 is frequently used for registered nurses pursuing permanent residence, while TN is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens. J-1 waivers through the Conrad 30 program are another path for physicians and nurses completing exchange programs in underserved areas.
How do I apply for Nursing jobs at PeaceHealth?
You can browse open nursing positions directly through PeaceHealth's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to filter roles by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, tailor your application to the specific unit and patient population, since PeaceHealth's facilities range from critical access hospitals to large regional medical centers. After submitting, expect a recruiter screen before progressing to department interviews.
What qualifications does PeaceHealth expect for sponsored Nursing candidates?
PeaceHealth generally requires an active RN license in the state where the position is located, a BSN for most sponsored roles, and relevant clinical experience in the unit's specialty. Critical care, telemetry, and OR positions typically require prior experience in that setting. International credentials need to be evaluated by a NACES-approved agency, and English proficiency documentation may be required depending on your visa pathway.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Nursing roles at PeaceHealth?
Timelines vary by visa type. H-1B standard processing through USCIS takes six to eight months, though premium processing can reduce this to around 15 business days. EB-3 PERM cases filed with DOL typically take six to eighteen months before an I-140 can be submitted. TN status for Canadian citizens can be obtained at the border on the day of travel. Build these timelines into your start date conversations with the hiring team.
