Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Medical Assistant Jobs at PeaceHealth Jobs
Get Your CMA or RMA Credential First
PeaceHealth expects Medical Assistants to hold a recognized certification such as the CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) before extending offers. Completing your credential before applying removes the most common barrier to sponsorship consideration at healthcare systems.
Target Clinics With Recurring Openings
PeaceHealth posts Medical Assistant roles most frequently at its ambulatory care clinics and primary care sites. Focusing on these locations rather than acute care units improves your odds of landing in a hiring pipeline that moves quickly toward offer and sponsorship.
Clarify Sponsorship Intent Early in Interviews
Healthcare employers sometimes assume local candidates when a role fills fast. In your first interview, state your authorization status plainly and confirm the role is open to sponsored candidates so you and the recruiter are aligned before the process advances.
Understand How PERM Timelines Affect Your Plan
If you are pursuing an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card path through PeaceHealth, the PERM labor certification process with DOL typically adds a year or more before an immigrant petition can be filed. Build that window into your authorization planning from the start.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Verified Sponsoring Roles
Not every Medical Assistant listing at PeaceHealth is open to sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where PeaceHealth has an active sponsorship history, so you apply only where a visa pathway is genuinely on the table.
Align Your OPT or TN Status With the Hiring Timeline
PeaceHealth's onboarding process for clinical roles can run eight to twelve weeks from offer to start date. If you are on F-1 OPT or TN status, confirm your remaining authorized period covers that ramp before accepting an offer to avoid a gap in work authorization.

Find Medical Assistant at PeaceHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does PeaceHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Medical Assistants?
Yes, PeaceHealth has sponsored H-1B visas for Medical Assistants. The role generally needs to meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria, which means the position must require at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a specific field. Many Medical Assistant roles are structured around clinical credentials and associate-level training, so confirm with the recruiter that the specific position qualifies before counting on this pathway.
How do I apply for Medical Assistant jobs at PeaceHealth?
Applications go through PeaceHealth's careers portal, where you can filter by role type and location across its Pacific Northwest facilities. Before applying, confirm the posting is open to candidates requiring sponsorship since not every listing is. Migrate Mate lets you browse PeaceHealth Medical Assistant openings filtered by sponsorship history, which saves time by surfacing roles where a visa pathway is already established.
Which visa types does PeaceHealth commonly use for Medical Assistant roles?
PeaceHealth has sponsored Medical Assistants under H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT, as well as immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA occupational categories. J-1 is common for exchange visitors completing clinical training. Which visa type applies depends on your nationality, credential level, and whether you need a temporary or permanent pathway.
What qualifications does PeaceHealth expect from Medical Assistant candidates?
PeaceHealth typically requires a Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree from an accredited program, plus a recognized national certification such as the CMA through AAMA or RMA through AMT. Prior clinical experience in a primary care or ambulatory setting strengthens your application. Some roles also require a current BLS certification. Candidates without U.S.-equivalent credentials may need a formal evaluation before PeaceHealth's HR team can assess sponsorship eligibility.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Medical Assistant at PeaceHealth?
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS standard processing runs three to five months after filing, with premium processing available to reduce that to about fifteen business days. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card paths require PERM labor certification through DOL first, which typically takes one to two years before an immigrant petition is filed. J-1 and TN categories generally move faster since they do not require a lottery or labor certification step.
