Align your credentials with state licensing requirements
PeaceHealth operates in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska, each with distinct professional licensing boards. Confirm your foreign credentials have been evaluated and that you hold or are eligible for licensure in the state where the role is based before applying.
Target roles with documented specialty shortages
PeaceHealth's sponsorship activity is concentrated in clinical specialties facing regional shortages, such as nursing, physical therapy, and radiology. Prioritize open positions in these areas when searching, as they carry stronger internal advocacy for sponsorship approval.
Prepare for PERM prevailing wage documentation early
If PeaceHealth files a PERM labor certification for your role, DOL will verify your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for that occupation in your region. Gather pay documentation and job duty records that clearly reflect the specific role title.
Use Migrate Mate to filter PeaceHealth openings by visa type
Not every open role at PeaceHealth is eligible for sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to browse current Healthcare positions filtered by the visa types PeaceHealth supports, so you spend time on applications that match your immigration situation.
Coordinate your H-1B cap timing with PeaceHealth's filing calendar
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. Raise this timeline with your PeaceHealth recruiter early so they can prepare the petition before the registration window opens.

Find Healthcare at PeaceHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does PeaceHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, PeaceHealth sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Healthcare roles. Clinical positions that meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning they require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, are the most common pathway. Licensing requirements for the applicable state must also be satisfied before USCIS will approve the petition.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at PeaceHealth?
Applications go through PeaceHealth's careers portal, where you can search by location and department. If you want to filter specifically for roles that support visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate lists PeaceHealth's open Healthcare positions alongside the visa types the company sponsors, so you can narrow your search before applying directly.
Which visa types does PeaceHealth commonly use for Healthcare roles?
PeaceHealth sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation clinical roles, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying healthcare occupations, J-1 for exchange visitor programs, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in practical training. For longer-term employees, PeaceHealth has also pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does PeaceHealth expect for sponsored Healthcare roles?
Requirements vary by role, but most sponsored positions require a degree in a directly related clinical or health science field, active or pending state licensure, and in many cases relevant post-graduate experience. For H-1B purposes, the position itself must require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific specialty, which PeaceHealth must document when filing with USCIS.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at PeaceHealth?
Timeline depends on visa type and your current status. An H-1B cap registration runs from March through an October 1 start date, while cap-exempt cases can file year-round with USCIS adjudication taking several months. PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes six months to over a year. Build these lead times into your conversation with PeaceHealth's HR team as early as possible.
