Get Your Credentials Evaluated Before Applying
If you trained outside the U.S., have your foreign mental health degree evaluated by a NACES-approved agency. Many states where RHA operates require licensure equivalency, and unverified credentials will stall your application before it reaches HR.
Target RHA Locations in Licensure-Flexible States
RHA operates across multiple southeastern states with varying licensure requirements for LPCs, LCSWs, and LMFTs. Applying to roles in states where your current credentials are eligible for provisional licensure gives you a faster path to meeting their minimum hiring bar.
Clarify Sponsorship Eligibility During the Offer Stage
RHA sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 categories for mental health roles, not H-1B. Ask directly whether the specific role you're offered qualifies for PERM-based sponsorship before signing, since not every position within their clinical portfolio is designated for sponsorship.
Demonstrate Continuity of Care Experience in Your Application
RHA's community and residential programs prioritize candidates with direct client caseload experience, particularly in IDD or behavioral health populations. Highlighting your supervised clinical hours and case management background aligns your profile with the roles they're actively filling.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Roles Efficiently
Migrate Mate lets you filter Mental Health Professional openings at RHA Health Services specifically by visa sponsorship type. Use it to identify which active postings align with your licensure level and target state before reaching out to their recruiting team.

Find Mental Health Professional at RHA Health Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does RHA Health Services sponsor H-1B visas for Mental Health Professionals?
RHA Health Services does not have a documented pattern of H-1B sponsorship for Mental Health Professional roles. Their sponsorship activity for this function falls under employment-based Green Card categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, which require PERM labor certification through the DOL. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer, you'd need to confirm whether RHA can support a transfer or concurrent filing arrangement.
Which visa types are commonly used for Mental Health Professional roles at RHA Health Services?
Mental Health Professional roles at RHA Health Services are most commonly sponsored through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. EB-3 applies to roles requiring a bachelor's degree, while EB-2 covers positions requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability. Both paths require DOL PERM labor certification, meaning sponsorship is tied to a specific, permanent role rather than a temporary work authorization period.
What qualifications or experience does RHA Health Services expect for Mental Health Professional positions?
RHA typically requires a master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related clinical field for Mental Health Professional roles, along with state licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of hire. Direct experience with behavioral health, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), or community-based care is strongly preferred. Supervised clinical hours that meet your state board's requirements should be documented clearly in your application materials.
How do I apply for Mental Health Professional jobs at RHA Health Services?
You can browse and apply for Mental Health Professional positions at RHA Health Services through Migrate Mate, which filters openings by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can identify roles that match your immigration situation before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect direct clinical caseload experience and any state-specific licensure credentials. Following up with RHA's recruiting team after submitting your application is advisable given the volume of openings they manage.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take at RHA Health Services for this role?
Because RHA sponsors through EB-2 and EB-3 categories, the timeline is longer than temporary work visas. The PERM labor certification process with the DOL typically runs 12 to 18 months, after which RHA files an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth and the applicable priority date, you may then face additional waiting periods before you can adjust status or apply for an immigrant visa.
