About The Role
Semgrep is hiring a Head of Growth & Integrated Marketing to own how we take our story to market and convert it into pipeline, and ultimately revenue. You'll lead a team of 7 across Integrated Campaigns, Lifecycle, Web Development, and Product Led Growth (PLG), serving as the connective tissue between brand, content, product, sales, and data analytics teams. This is a high-ownership and visibility role for someone who thinks in systems, moves with precision, and is on the career path to running a marketing department.
What You'll Own
- Lead and develop a cross-functional team of 7 spanning campaign management, lifecycle/email, web, and PLG growth marketing
- Drive integrated campaign strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels — aligned to pipeline targets and business priorities
- Own full-funnel performance tracking: channel-level cost-per metrics, funnel conversion rates, and investment-to-return analysis
- Partner closely with Brand, Security Advocacy/Content, Marketing Ops, Data Analytics, and Sales leadership to ensure programs are tightly integrated and well-resourced
- Serve as the campaign foundation for Partner Marketing and Field — building the core plays and assets that get amplified through partners and adopted across target accounts and regional motions
- Build the operating rhythm for campaign planning, execution, and retrospectives — including sprint-based GTM activation
- Support career growth for both traditional campaign marketers and more technical team members (web dev, growth engineering)
- Translate marketing performance into executive-ready narratives for finance, sales, and leadership stakeholders
About You
- 10–15 years of B2B marketing experience, with meaningful time in demand gen, integrated campaigns, or revenue marketing; we care more about the pace and scope of what you've owned than years on a resume, and strong startup or high-growth experience can absolutely compress that timeline
- Proven track record managing multi-discipline marketing teams (campaign, lifecycle, web, and/or growth)
- Equal parts analytical and strategic: you're as comfortable in a Salesforce dashboard or attribution model as you are in a campaign brief
- Deep fluency in funnel metrics, MQLs, pipeline contribution, CAC, CPL by channel, conversion rates, and the ability to connect them to business outcomes
- Experience marketing to technical audiences. You understand how developers, AppSec engineers, and security practitioners evaluate products and you know how to earn their trust
- High emotional intelligence and the range to build genuine relationships across a wide variety of personalities and working styles, from creative and brand-oriented teammates to data-driven ops and sales stakeholders
- An AI optimist who actively looks for ways to use AI to eliminate friction, from project management and campaign workflows to reporting and content production
- Experience working in or alongside PLG or product-led growth motions is a plus
- Ambition to grow into a VP Marketing or Marketing Leadership role

Compensation
The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $151,000 to $189,000 USD. The actual base salary will be determined based on a number of factors, which may include job-related skills, relevant experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market data. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include equity, variable compensation, and benefits. We view equity as a meaningful part of our compensation philosophy and a way for employees to share in the long-term value they help create. Compensation ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted as the role, individual performance, or market conditions evolve. Please note that the range listed is for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
What We Offer (FTE Only)
Our goal is to competitively and fairly compensate every Semgrep employee with a system that equally rewards those who are vocal and those who are less comfortable making demands during the final steps of the hiring process. To that end, we generate internal compensation bands that are used when discussing and negotiating salaries. We update these based on market data to make sure they’re above the average for comparable roles. We invest in our employees’ well-being and long-term success through a competitive, market-aligned benefits program that meets or exceeds local market standards across all of the regions in which we hire. Benefits offerings vary by location to reflect local requirements and norms. For more detailed, location-specific information, please visit Semgrep Benefits.

Target engineering and security roles
Semgrep's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical roles, software engineers, security researchers, and developer tooling positions. If your background is in these areas, you're applying to the part of the company where sponsorship is most common.
Understand Semgrep's H-1B focus
H-1B is the primary visa type Semgrep sponsors for full-time hires. If you're currently on OPT or CPT, plan your timeline carefully so your application aligns with the H-1B cap season in early April.
Highlight domain expertise in application security
Semgrep builds static analysis and code security tooling. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience with SAST, vulnerability research, or secure software development stand out in a technically specialized hiring pool.
Use OPT and CPT as an entry point
Semgrep supports F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible to international students before H-1B eligibility. Getting a foot in the door during OPT gives you time to demonstrate value ahead of H-1B sponsorship decisions.
Browse verified open roles before applying
Sponsorship policies can shift between job postings. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and confirm Semgrep is actively hiring for visa-eligible roles before investing time in your application.
Prepare for a technical-first hiring process
Semgrep's interviews are engineering-heavy, often involving code review, system design, and security concepts. Coming in with a strong technical foundation is as important as having the right visa status for this company's hiring style.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Semgrep sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Semgrep sponsors H-1B visas. H-1B is the primary work visa Semgrep uses for full-time international hires in technical roles. The company has a consistent track record of H-1B sponsorship, particularly for software engineering and security positions. If you're targeting Semgrep, plan your application timeline around the H-1B cap filing window in the spring.
Which visa types does Semgrep sponsor?
Semgrep sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. H-1B is the most common pathway for full-time roles. F-1 OPT and CPT make Semgrep accessible to international students earlier in their careers, while TN covers eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying specialty occupations.
Which departments or roles at Semgrep are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Semgrep is concentrated in technical departments. Software engineering, security research, and developer tooling roles are where sponsorship activity is highest. Candidates with backgrounds in application security, static analysis, or programming language tooling are a strong match for the roles Semgrep most actively hires and sponsors internationally.
How do I find open visa-sponsored roles at Semgrep?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find current visa-sponsored openings at Semgrep. It filters job listings by verified sponsorship history, so you can confirm Semgrep is actively hiring for roles that match your visa type without having to chase down sponsorship policies on individual job postings or reach out to recruiters first.
How do I time my application to Semgrep around the H-1B cap?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, aim to have an offer from Semgrep by February or March so the company can file your petition during the H-1B cap registration window, which typically opens in early March. Candidates on F-1 OPT have more flexibility, but should track their OPT expiration and confirm Semgrep can file before authorization lapses.
