Certify Your Credentials for FDA-Regulated Manufacturing
Shermco's medical device work falls under FDA quality standards, so certifications like ISO 13485 awareness training or GMP compliance courses signal direct readiness. Gather documentation of any cleanroom, assembly, or quality inspection experience before applying.
Target Shermco's Openings by Location and Shift
Shermco posts Manufacturing Associate roles across multiple facilities, and sponsorship decisions are often made at the facility level. Filtering openings by site and shift type on Migrate Mate helps you identify which locations are actively hiring international candidates.
Align Your Visa Category to Your Degree Level
Manufacturing Associate roles at Shermco can support both EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship. If your background is technician-level rather than degree-based, EB-3 is the more practical path. Confirm your credential level with an immigration attorney before the offer stage.
Raise OPT or CPT Timing Early with Recruiters
F-1 students on OPT have a narrow employment authorization window. If your OPT expires within six months of a potential start date, flag this during initial recruiter conversations so Shermco's HR team can coordinate STEM extension or petition filing without delays.
Understand That PERM Labor Certification Takes Time
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Shermco must complete DOL's PERM process before USCIS can adjudicate your immigrant petition. This process typically runs nine to eighteen months. Negotiating a start date that provides enough runway for PERM filing protects both you and the employer.
Verify Your Work Authorization Matches E-Verify Requirements
Shermco participates in E-Verify, which means your work authorization must be confirmed electronically before your first day. Ensure your I-94, EAD, or visa documentation is current and accurately reflects your authorized start date to avoid onboarding complications.

Find Manufacturing Associate at Shermco Industries JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Shermco Industries sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Associates?
Shermco Industries' Manufacturing Associate roles are primarily production and technician-oriented, which means they typically fall outside the specialty occupation threshold required for H-1B classification. The company's sponsorship activity for this role is concentrated in employment-based Green Card categories like EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 statuses. If you hold an engineering or technical degree, discuss how your role would be scoped with Shermco's HR team, since job duties, not just job titles, determine H-1B eligibility.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing Associate roles at Shermco Industries?
Shermco supports several visa pathways for Manufacturing Associates, including F-1 OPT and CPT for current students, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical occupations, J-1 for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa sponsorship for longer-term hires. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and where you are in your career. TN and F-1 OPT tend to be faster to activate, while EB-3 sponsorship involves a multi-year PERM and USCIS petition process.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Associate jobs at Shermco Industries?
Shermco Industries posts Manufacturing Associate openings through its careers portal and third-party job boards. The most efficient way to find roles that are open to visa sponsorship is through Migrate Mate, which filters Shermco's active listings specifically for international candidates. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect hands-on production experience, quality control familiarity, and any exposure to FDA-regulated or ISO-certified environments, since those details align directly with what Shermco's hiring managers look for in this role.
What qualifications and experience does Shermco Industries expect for Manufacturing Associate positions?
Shermco's Manufacturing Associate roles in medical device production typically require hands-on experience with assembly, inspection, or production line operations. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and quality documentation, such as work orders or traveler sheets, is commonly expected. A high school diploma or associate's degree is often the minimum, though candidates with technical certifications or prior experience in FDA-regulated environments are more competitive. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a structured, compliance-focused setting matter as much as technical skills.
How do I plan my timeline if Shermco Industries is sponsoring my Green Card as a Manufacturing Associate?
Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 at Shermco begins with DOL's PERM labor certification process, which typically takes nine to eighteen months before USCIS can review your I-140 immigrant petition. After USCIS approval, your priority date must be current in the State Department's Visa Bulletin before you can file for adjustment of status or attend consular processing. For applicants from high-demand countries, priority date backlogs can extend the overall timeline significantly. Starting the PERM process as early as possible after your start date gives you the most runway.
