- Define test readiness requirements, and plan & execute the activities for new products, process changes, and factory expansion efforts.
- Own the Manufacturing Test decision-making in PFMEA, control plans, risk assessments, and design for manufacturability and test.
- Develop technical documentation and training, including test procedures, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and equipment specification for sustaining operations.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for manufacturing test equipment, software, and process issues during development, commissioning, and production ramp activities.
- Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing and operations teams during equipment deployment and production launch activities to ensure test systems deployed meets quality and performance requirements.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of experience developing automated test systems in manufacturing, product development, or industrial environments.
- Demonstrated ownership of complete test systems from concept through deployment.
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience integrating manufacturing test systems with MES, databases, or enterprise software systems.
- Experience developing and scaling manufacturing test systems from prototype, pilot, or low-volume production environments into high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience supporting new factory launches, production ramp activities, or capacity expansion initiatives.
- Experience establishing test architectures, software frameworks, processes, and standards that enable long-term growth and operational scalability.
- Experience with industrial and embedded communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, Ethernet-based protocols, UART, SPI, I2C, Protobuf, or similar technologies.

Document hands-on production experience precisely
For manufacturing roles, USCIS scrutinizes whether your background aligns with specialty occupation requirements. Catalog your experience with specific equipment, processes like electrochemical cell assembly or quality control systems, and any certifications that ground your application in technical specificity.
Target Form Energy's iron-air battery production pipeline
Form Energy's manufacturing work centers on novel battery chemistry, not conventional electronics assembly. Tailor your resume to reflect experience with electrochemical systems, materials handling, or process scale-up, since hiring managers are screening for candidates who can contribute to pre-commercial production ramp.
Apply during production expansion hiring cycles
Form Energy's Weirton, West Virginia facility drives most Manufacturing Associate demand. Track job postings tied to production milestones or facility buildouts, since those cycles generate the densest hiring windows and increase your odds of landing a role that includes sponsorship.
Clarify OPT and CPT authorization before your first interview
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT or CPT authorization covers manufacturing work specifically. USCIS requires that work authorization aligns with your field of study, so bring documentation to your initial screens showing that production engineering or materials science connects to your degree.
Understand the TN visa path for Canadian and Mexican engineers
Form Energy sponsors TN visas for qualifying roles, and the TN category covers engineers and certain technologists without requiring USCIS petition approval in advance. If you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship and a qualifying degree, the TN path can get you started faster than H-1B.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Manufacturing Associate roles
Searching broadly wastes time at a company with a specific manufacturing focus. Use Migrate Mate to filter Form Energy's open Manufacturing Associate positions by visa type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is confirmed and your work authorization actually fits the opening.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Form Energy sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Associates?
Yes, Form Energy sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing Associate roles. The H-1B requires your position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field is the standard for entry. For manufacturing roles at Form Energy, relevant fields typically include materials science, chemical engineering, or manufacturing engineering. Because H-1B has an annual cap and lottery, timing your application cycle matters.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Associate jobs at Form Energy?
Applications go through Form Energy's careers page, where Manufacturing Associate openings are listed by facility and function. Before applying, review the job description carefully to confirm visa sponsorship is noted for that specific role, since not every posting carries the same authorization. Migrate Mate aggregates Form Energy's open Manufacturing Associate positions filtered by visa type, which makes identifying eligible openings faster than searching the company site directly.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing Associate roles at Form Energy?
Form Energy sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Manufacturing Associates. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering production roles, while the TN visa is an efficient option for Canadian and Mexican nationals with engineering backgrounds. EB-3 is often the employer-sponsored Green Card route for skilled manufacturing positions that go through PERM labor certification with the DOL.
What qualifications does Form Energy look for in Manufacturing Associate candidates?
Form Energy's manufacturing work involves electrochemical cell production, so candidates with backgrounds in materials science, chemical engineering, or industrial manufacturing carry a practical advantage. Hands-on experience with assembly processes, quality systems like ISO or Six Sigma, and familiarity with safety protocols in a production environment are consistently relevant. For visa purposes, a bachelor's degree in a technically related field strengthens the specialty occupation case your employer files with USCIS.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Manufacturing Associate hires at Form Energy?
Timeline depends on visa type. F-1 OPT can begin almost immediately if your authorization is already approved. TN visa for Canadian nationals can be processed at the border on the day you start. H-1B petitions file in April for an October start date, with USCIS premium processing available to reduce adjudication time to roughly 15 business days. Green Card pathways through PERM involve DOL labor certification first, which adds several months before USCIS sees the petition.
