Align your credentials to U.S. manufacturing standards
Form Energy's hardware-focused production work draws on process engineering, quality control, and electrochemical manufacturing. Frame your credentials around IATF, ISO, or Six Sigma experience, these translate directly to what U.S. hiring teams in battery manufacturing expect to see.
Target roles that cross engineering and production
Form Energy regularly hires at the intersection of manufacturing engineering and R&D process development. Roles with titles like process engineer or manufacturing engineer are more likely to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS guidelines, which strengthens your H-1B petition.
Apply before the H-1B registration window closes
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting a role at Form Energy that requires cap-subject sponsorship, time your application so an offer can be in place before registration opens.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Form Energy openings by visa type
Manufacturing roles at Form Energy span production, quality, and process functions, and not all are posted with sponsorship details visible. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Form Energy's Manufacturing openings by visa type so you can focus only on positions that match your status.
Clarify OPT or CPT authorization early in the process
If you're on F-1 OPT, Form Energy is enrolled in E-Verify, which is required for STEM OPT extensions. Confirm your STEM OPT eligibility with your DSO before your first interview so you can communicate your authorized work period clearly to the recruiting team.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage review on your offer
For H-1B and PERM-based sponsorship, your offered salary must meet the DOL prevailing wage for your job title and work location. In West Virginia, where Form Energy operates its manufacturing facility, wage levels for production roles may differ significantly from coastal benchmarks.

Find Manufacturing at Form Energy JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Form Energy sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturings?
Yes, Form Energy sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Manufacturing roles. Positions that involve process engineering, quality systems, or electrochemical production are more likely to meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements. If you're pursuing a cap-subject H-1B, you'll need an offer in place before the March registration window. Cap-exempt pathways are not typically available for industry manufacturing roles.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Form Energy?
You can browse and apply for Manufacturing roles at Form Energy through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters Form Energy openings by visa sponsorship type. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight relevant manufacturing process experience, quality certifications, and any exposure to battery or energy storage hardware. Include your work authorization status so the recruiting team can assess sponsorship fit early.
Which visa types does Form Energy commonly sponsor for Manufacturing roles?
Form Energy sponsors H-1B, TN, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Manufacturing positions. F-1 OPT and CPT are also supported, and Form Energy's E-Verify enrollment makes it eligible for STEM OPT extensions. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or scientific roles that align with USMCA job categories.
What qualifications does Form Energy look for in Manufacturing candidates?
Form Energy's Manufacturing team works on novel long-duration battery production, so they look for backgrounds in process engineering, electrochemistry, materials science, or industrial manufacturing. Hands-on experience with production scale-up, quality management systems like ISO or Six Sigma, and familiarity with hardware manufacturing environments carries significant weight. A relevant bachelor's degree in engineering or a physical science is typically the baseline for sponsored roles.
How do I think about the sponsorship timeline for a Manufacturing role at Form Energy?
Timeline depends on your visa type. F-1 OPT lets you start work while a longer-term petition is prepared. H-1B sponsorship ties to USCIS's annual cycle, with an October 1 start date and a March registration window. For Green Card pathways, PERM labor certification through the DOL adds several months before USCIS adjudication begins. Premium processing is available for H-1B petitions and can reduce USCIS processing to 15 business days.
